Very yummy snacks
Dec 2019
We drove in on our way to Su'ao. Plenty of parking space. Many delectable pastries to sample and they served tea. Simply loved the cow tongue biscuit, very yummy. Finished most of what I bought before the end of our holiday in Taiwan.

Friendly and helpful staffs.
Jun 2019 • Family
The staffs at the location are all very friendly and they’ll try to help as much as they could. One could sample the products before deciding which are the nicer tasting ones and make purchases. Had initially wanted to participate the DIY event but missed the time to register due to a longer lunch timing.

DIY event (make your own cake) is at 130NT. The cakes at the factory are good for gifts for tourists but difficult to transport if one doesn’t have their tour bus or transportation with them.

Should Be Called Yilan Cake Museum
Mar 2019 • Friends
This cake factory is more like a cake museum with historical facts on the making of cakes by the Yilan Cake Factory. Aside from having display exhibits and video presentation, there's also free jasmine tea and tasting samples for most of the cakes before you buy. For those who like taking pictures, especially with children, there are several cartoon characters for this purpose. Additionally, this place is vey near the Crayon factory, so after your visit here, go to the Crayon factory for more excitement, especially if toy have young children with you...

Tour stop
Mar 2019 • Couples
This seems to be a regular stopping place for tours heading to the south. As well as using the rest rooms, take a while to look inside, where the chances are that you will be offered tea and a sample of the cakes on offer. Look at the cartoon like decorations and models around the place and browse the store for gifts. If you have time there is a museum and cake making classes.

Yilan Pastry Heaven
Oct 2016 • Friends
The factory tour is free. The building is air conditioned, clean and provides free parking. The factory also includes a cultural info center of how the pastries were made, a vast rows of kiosks where visitors can sample different pastries. The pastries are delicious and fresh, and price is very reasonable. A fun visit if you have 30 minutes to spare.

Taste local cakes and sweets
Jun 2016 • Solo
You can walk around the shop and sample local delicacies. Go upstairs and watch the factory workers prepare the famous cow's tongue biscuit.

"A must visit"
Apr 2016 • Friends
Yilan Cake Factory is a local and tourist stop by for gifts, cookies and Taiwanese cakes.
If you have a little more time or with kids, can register for a DIY(do it yourself) make some cookies.
Other than tasting and buying, this is a great photo shooting area too.

Great place to buy edible souvenirs for family back home. Delicious traditional cakes and goodies to try. Took my 4 year old daughter and she had lots of fun too.

Best and most delicate cakes in Taiwan
Mar 2014 • Couples
Yi-Lan is famous for its spring onions, beautiful views, hospitable people and its hot springs. Yet Yi-Lan best kept secret is the Yi-Lan Cake Factory, which is managed by the Yi-Lan Pin Company (translates as Yi-Lan Cake). Their cakes are traditional, and incorporate delicate glace fruit, macadamia, cashews, pomelos, in a way that most traditional cake companies can and do not. This is where my Taiwanese in-laws bought our wedding cakes!
