As many reviews mention, Sparadise offers a wonderful spa experience. They were thorough and professional, and ultimately I felt very relaxed. I made the mistake of booking my scrub before I had to go somewhere else, so when the 2 hour and 10 minute spa experience became almost 3 hours, I became stressed for time. However, I greatly appreciate that they tried to give me my money's worth! Once they knew I was running late, they tried to get my out of there very quickly.

I would have given them 5 stars had they set appropriate time expectations with their booking service. For example, they could note that most people spend 3 hours there for the body scrub. This would allow their clients to plan accordingly :) Everything else was perfect!

The minute I entered the spa I felt pampered. The receptionist was exceptionally accommodating and professional. I did the Spa Symphony which included massage, body scrub and a facial. I was so relaxed I fell asleep during the massage. Aromatherapist #1 was fantastic, professional and considerate. I also enjoyed rose tea after my treatment and the wonderful advice from the receptionist. I will certainly return the next time I am in Taipei.

The spa was really lovely once you walked in. Very nicely renovated and laid out. Very clean and relaxing. The staff members were helpful and polite as always. There was a language barrier at times but they tried their best and it worked out in the end. Everything was lovely! It's a great spa!

Being a highly advertised spa in Taipei with plenty of good reviews, I thought Sparadise would be a safe bet for unwinding after a 13 hour flight. Unfortunately, this was the worst spa experience I’ve had in Taiwan.

The owner was a polite and friendly young man who welcomed me when I arrived. He sat down with me to pick the right essential oils for my needs. Unfortunately, this is where the pleasant part ends...

My massage therapist was a woman with short-shoulder length hair in her late 30s or early 40s from mainland China. She wore plastic gloves that made a loud shuffling sound when she messaged me - it sounded like someone was playing with a plastic bag throughout the entire massage. Obviously, the sensation of being massaged by a pair of plastic gloves felt really strange as well. I didn’t want to demand for her to remove her gloves, as I thought she might have some skin related issues. After the massage concluded, I overheard her conversation with a coworker and discovered that she just got her nails done in a manicure class so she wanted to keep them fresh.

Furthermore, this massage therapist was TEXTING THE ENTIRE TIME. She kept her cellphone on the massage table, so I could feel the whole table vibrate whenever she received a text. She would stop after every few strokes to send a new text, and move the phone with her to different parts of the massage table to continue texting while working on various parts of my body. The vibration was extremely distracting and prevented me from relaxing. The fact that she was spending time that I paid for to be on her phone still infuriates me when I think about it. Rude and unprofessional.

Save your money and go somewhere else.

Hello Alisha, Thank you very much for providing us those important feedback, which definitely have prompted us to improve our management and workflow. Indeed, frequently texting messages during work is prohibited. We have already identified the masseuse based on your description and she also confessed that she's the one that made the mistake. Please trust us, we feel nothing but apologetic about her behavior and will suspend her from duty for 7 days. We can hereby guarantee to you and our future customers that this will never happen again. As for wearing gloves during the treatment, it's actually encouraged according to our hygienic policy. However, it's also our fault for not informing our customers to ask for their admission. We will append this to our standard procedure. It's always been our mission to present a spa paradise to our customers. Therefore, we really appreciate your precious opinions since what you tell us today will be the material to build a better us tomorrow! It was the best choice for me to visit Sparadise as a part of my holidays in Taipei.
I've been to many spa from Thailand, Hong Kong, Mainland China etc. Compared to my previous experiences regarding spa & massage, Sparadise provided me not only comfortable atmosphere, but also the best massage skills for muscle relaxation. I will definitely visit Sparadise again on my next trip to Taipei.

Love this place. While the entrance might look sleazy, and the place is pretty far, everything else was great.

The place is clean and the masseurs are fabulous. While I did get a bit of bruising (well, that's because I requested it to be harder), we were both very relaxed after the massage.

Clean, affordable and friendly.

The area has a lot of nice posh little French restaurants too. Definitely a nice area outside of the usual touristy place.

Doris, Maximus, and Sayuri are awesome!!

Sparadise is very nice!

It really is a spa paradise and what I love the most is that the experience is tailored just for you. The aromatherapists at Sparadise listen to you and comprehensively work with you to find the perfect blend of oils and essences to treat your body and soul on that particular day.

I ended up having lavender, sandalwood, and orange. Each organic essential oil and fragrance had a specific purpose to help alleviate the health (mental, physical, and spiritual) concerns I expressed to Sayuri. I had mentioned my constant waking during my sleep and also my stress level at work. She had me hold each vial of oil and then read my palm to choose the three oils that would help me maintain a steady and peaceful sleep and relieve my stress. With this incredible introduction, I was ready to get to the massage.

The room they take you to is serene and the massage bed is very comfortable. I could already smell my specific organic Oriental and French oils permeating the room in a wonderful aroma that melted all my worries away while I could enjoy and indulge in the massage. This combined with the blissful classical symphonies made for the most stress-free experience.

Sayuri is a true professional and very skilled too. She is Japanese and an Australia-trained and certified aromatherapist. Her experience treating the sore bodies of surfers in Australia really shows as she gave me one of the best massages I've had with a truly soothing but firm, tender, and caressing touch.

Combine that with their combination of East meets West essential elixirs and nutrients and your skin will be feeling rejuvenated with a healthy silky smooth texture. I really enjoyed the body massage and facial and it left me feeling completely hydrated and in optimal condition.

Every service at Sparadise is blissful and takes you away from the busy city into a serene, stress-free, and satisfying escape to spa paradise or really Sparadise!

I immediately fell in love with this spa when I was living in Taiwan because I felt extremely comfortable there as a foreigner and I was impressed to find they also have an English version of their website which was excellent for getting all the information I needed and super easy for booking an appointment.

When I received my massage, I was pleasantly surprised to find they used wonderful essential oils that made me feel right at home. The masseuse was highly skilled and really paid attention to the areas I asked her to work on. I have since recommended friends and travelers to try this spa and they are all equally impressed!

The spa staff is super friendly and their English speaking abilities makes communicating a non-issue. While it may have a modest appearance, it's product is of the highest quality.

I can't recommend Sparadise enough! Best spa in Taipei.

came for the first time here because tripadvisor ranks it as the #1 spa and wellness center in Taipei. Well, it is very very far from it. The receptionist was friendly enough and the overall facility is relatively clean, the massage technique was acceptable but did not leave me refreshed. Overall, the place is mediocre and amateurish. It has a nice website with easy booking system. But other than that it is a very local family style setup. It is expensive for what it has to offer. The real experience of the spa is quite different from the picture shown in tripadvisor or its website. It has no store front. Rather it locates at the second floor of an old and unattractive residential building. The street level door opens to a dark and unclean stairwell with a big smelly trash can. The spa itself is configured into an apartment. The receptionist area is relatively spacious and bright, but the spa area is cramped, dark, with literally no sound proofing. There is one shower and dressing/locker room to be shared with all guests man and women. Furnishing and interior design is cheap and old looking. Both receptionist and the masseuse exude nervous energy, which did not help.

Dear Madam, Thank you very much for pointing out the imperfections. They definitely will prompt us to improve. Please kindly allow us to use this reply to say more words to you and to our future customers. The shop/massage parlour/spa you visited is the place where we started to build up what we have today. It’s the place we initiated our business. We did not have much resource and funds to choose a better location in Taipei City, nor did we afford to spend too much money on interior decorations. Even when we started to grow stronger, what we began to invest mostly on were employee training program and employee welfare, which we believe will ultimately benefit our customers. Indeed, we are located in an old apartment building and the stairway is dark. However, we work hard to keep the environment inside our shop sanitary. We send every used robe to washing factory; we offer disposable slippers and massage sheets to our customers; and most importantly, we focus on the quality of our treatments. We really appreciate your opinions, so we hereby promise you and our future customers that, once we are strong enough, we will move to a convenient and bigger place. Sincerely, Sparadise
