造訪懷舊小鄉鎮~瑞芳
Aug 2020 • Family
It takes an hour to wait for the Shenzhen-Ao Branch(深澳線) at Ruifang Station(瑞芳車站). But this one hour waiting for the train can really only be used to fill up the stomach and increase the capacity.增加能量,這兒交通真的是不太方便,沒有客運,(only the train that takes an hour!)只有間距一小時的火車搭乘!

Transfer station
May 2019 • Solo
Rueifang is a transfer station to Pingxi line, and that’s why I got off there. Some Ziqiang express trains stop at this station. However, it is nothing special nearby. There is a short street called Rueifang Old Street, but it is not interesting for tourists.

Connecting station to the Pingxi Line for Shifen
May 2019 • Family
We were here as we did the day trip from Taipei to Shifen/Jiufen etc. There are buses to Jiufen from a short walk about 200 metres from the station (200 metres to the left of Wellcome as you come out).

We then took a train from here to Shifen. Note the followng: trains are one per hour, always overcrowded (i.e., you WILL NOT GET A SEAT AND YOU WILL NOT SEE ANYTHING) so it may be well worth the option to join a tour that departs from Taipei OR hire a private driver if you have a bigger group. We absolutely hated the train travel here - slow going and way too crowded. So much so you can barely breathe.

Not so much to see
May 2019
Rueifang, our next destination. Nothing much to see here though. Aside from the abandoned buildings, from time forgotten, poking out from the mountain side, small hilltop houses, and the open sea where river water converge with sea water. Further on the trail, we took a short stop in this cute and calming water fall - this sourced the “Golden” water (mineral build up) that converged with the sea water.

Be careful! Fraud by staff!
Apr 2019 • Couples
We were traveling from Taipei via Ruifang station to Jifuen and checked in in Taipei by our easycard. When arriving in Ruifang we were denied by the staff to check out through the easycard bip-station like the local people - we should go to an “special” line and pay 186 Taiwanese $ extra for having traveled with a train we were not allowed to and had also to pay a fine by 50% of the normal price - when we tried to explain, that the staff in Taipei said that everything was fine by easycard and even showed official Taiwan-train homepages from the internet the staff denied speaking English, became rude in Chinese language.

This is racism against western-looking people and a tourist scam - be aware, be careful and don’t become a victim of fraud against tourists in Ruifang station like we did.

Excellent Train Station on Route to Jiufen Old Street
Feb 2019 • Solo
If you want to visit Jiufen Old Street on your own from Taipei, get off at the station and take the bus, visit the tourist center in the lobby and they will not only provide information on how to get to Jiufen Old Street, but there are a lot of off the beaten spots to visit for traveler's with more time!

transit station toward Liu fen or Shi fen
Aug 2018 • Couples
You use here as transit spot for Liu fen or Shi fen. For Liu Fen, you go outside and walk a few minutes and take bus. For Shi fen, you change to 平渓 line.
