Nothing
Jun 2016 • Family
It was much deserted place. We see very few people and no shop opens and just strolled around and no hot spring experience. However, you can experience the hot spring provided in the hotel facility.

Deserted town after the typhoon hit
Jun 2016 • Friends
Did a short visit in June 2016. An almost deserted town with closed shops and hotels. The so-called Lushan hotspring wasn't operating.
Other than the aftermath of the typhoon, there is nothing much to see there sadly.

Was lacking places to go in taichung as we weren't really interested in factories. It was a great suggestion by our taxi driver! Everybody enjoyed the clear warm waters!. It was about 800 for 2 people i think

LUSHAN HOT SPRING, NANTOU, TAIWAN
Jun 2015 • Family
Lushan Hot Spring also named the 'Cherry Hot Spring' is developed towards the end of Japanese colonization located in Nantou County's, Renai Township. The town is divided in 2 by the Taluowan River with decent hotels on both side of the river.

The alkaline carbonic acid base hot spring is one of the 4 renowned hot spring in Taiwan, also the world's top hot spring. The near boiling point spring water is suitable for cooking eggs and noodles.

Lushan Hot Spring is one of the most popular tourist destination in the past until it has been hard hit by powerful Typhoon Sinlaku in year 2008 with roads and 1st floor of building along the Taluowan River buried in earth and rock and caused numbers of abandoned building, whilst the town are are recovered but the lower numbers of coming has left the town with more hotels than guest now.

The source of the hot spring water is about 5km deep in a serene area of alpine mountain and deep valleys. The stunning mountainous scenery is sure to relax your stressful lifestyle.

A beautiful little town
Jun 2015
This little town is a mountain spa area. We visited a spa for a couple of hours then ate a very freshly cooked vegetarian meal followed by a walk around the area. We crossed the rope bridge to the other side of the river where we enjoyed the the views, even the police station was fronted by plants and flowers. Our walk took us past Chiang Kai-Shek's summer home. Wikipedia has a very interesting story of the history of Lushan that is well worth reading.

Sub standard hot spring spa
The hot and cold pool is poorly maintained, the shower cubicle is poorly equipped some without shower head, no hook to hang clothing. There isn't any changing area. Good thing we aren't staying in this resort.

Lushan is a town
Oct 2014 • Friends
As title, Lushan is a town and there are a few hot spring center here.

Please be advised that here the hot spring is not natural pool. They get the hot spring water from the ground spot and channel it up into building. I had my hot spring at 7th floor in the building.

The water is natural and very hot. You can smell light sulphur. After the hot spring session, you can feel your skin is slippery and you can't wash away the soapy feeling with water. What you got to do is just wipe it dry and the slippery thing will be gone. They said that is due to the sulphuric water.

They have room for 2 and room for 4, and also double 4.
Price is 800 for 2, and 1200 for 4.
You can choose only male, only female or both sex together.
