We went up Hehuan Mountain , which was about 3000m above sea level, and was reputed to have very beautiful sunsets and sunrises. However, it depends on whether the weather is in your favour or not. For us, a family of 4, we booked the...More

The views from the peak are stunning and there are great historical memorials, some of which commemorate the rebellion of the Taroko Aboriginal peoples against the Japanese colonists in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Booked a tour with KKday for a sun rise viewing. Starts pretty early at 0345h but it includes various locations. Highlight for me wasn't the sun rise but the stargazing portion where the guides introduced the different constellations. Otherwise photo opportunities abound. There is even...More

If you are staying at Cingjing/QIngjing this is the must go place, especially for the sunset and sunrise tours. If you like trekking, one of the easiest places to trek too.

Be aware the traffic before you depart. Once the traffic happens, it would be a tough time for you to reach (This is just only for driving, not a big deal for riding). However, if you're a fan if riding, you can try riding from...More

Watched the sunrise on the mountain joining a local tour. It would take a long drive but it is worth the effort. Point to note: visitors might have altitude sickness.
