This is THE place to go to view beautiful sunset against a backdrop of windmills. The place is windy (obviously!) and packed with people all waiting to catch a glimpse of the beautiful sunset. There is a boardwalk over the wetlands (where tiny crabs can...More

Gaomei Wetlands is a popular tourist beach to view beautiful sunset. Other than sunset, is only a common beach.

Inconvenient attraction but definitely worth the time and cost. Enjoy the strong breeze and the wonder of nature when the tide subside by going down the ramp. For shuttle bugs, don't forget your filter and tripod as the sun is harsh. Getting a perfect spot...More

It is so hard to find a place to take a picture, because there are so many people walking and sitting there. The wetland is not that big and was a bit far from the city centre. Beautiful but not very special.

Have made the board walk at wetlands on a Saturday afternoon around 4pm. Nice weather, but unbelievable crowded with people. Only thing to see from the boardwalk is the small crabs around. More interesting to watch the people than the actual side.

There's no train or bus to Gaomei Wetland. Hire a cab for easy convenience. It cost NTD 2500 for the trip (solo travelling).
