Tianhou Temple is a very old temple in Qijin (Cijin). Our guide called it the Holy Mother Temple in English. The temple was under renovation when we were there, so we could not get inside it. Great detail on the outside of the building. It...More

I visited this temple whilst visiting Chijin with members of a Taiwanese family. They explained how the temple is one of the earliest in the country and was built to honour the sea goddess. It was a very serene place to be, even though there...More

Although this temples some interesting history, it's really just another temple I think, and after you've seen lots of temples, there is a certain sameness to them all. certainly worth a visit if you are going to the island, but I would not advise making...More

DAY 2,去台湾一定去妈祖庙拜拜,庙祝还叫我要拜拜这庙里的大妈,二妈 和三妈。 很赞。有拜有保佑。台湾神像雕刻的手工很好。 Good to visit, look at the deities figures are being crafted so refine, it is looking like so real.

I have visited this temple many times. Sad to see this year the damage of tyfoons. It is a very old and beautiful temple in the middle of a very touristic area.

Although there's nothing particularly unique or interesting here, this is still a lovely temple and well worth visiting if you are on Chijin. The one completely unique artefact on display is in a side room, featuring a large model boat, that I've not seen in...More
