Ok for a wander or possibly a bit of boating on the lake but not much more. There are some decent shops and restaurants nearby also though.

The park was not crowded early Saturday morning as it was already in the 80s deg F.

The city did a nice job with the design and made it practical and useful:
Lots of statues and monuments
Nice gardens
Small lake that included rental row boats
Lots of space for families and children to run around, outdoor karaoke (bring your own machine) and tai chi
Large trees with much needed shade
Bridges
Tennis courts
Restrooms

This picturesque park is a landmark of Taichung City, which is one of the island's main urban areas,. It's located on the central west coast of Taiwan. Taichung Park is not very extensive, but it has some historic monuments and it's a good place for a stroll, away from Taichung's incessant traffic. The park is nicely looked after.

Taichung Park is located near the centre of Taichung. Taichung is one of the largest cities in Taiwan, it is located near the centre of the island. The pavilions are built near the centre of the lake, it's a good resting place for visitors. Boating is popular.

As we stayed nearby, we visited this park a couple of times. Its free to visit and quite pleasant. Centrally located, but we did not meet many locals. Not a very big park, but peaceful and serene.

This small landscaped park in the heart of Taichung is a welcome green oasis in that busy city. It has a large pond with a pavilion erected for a Japanese imperial visit, a small hill, open grassy spaces and shady trees. Look out for the bushy-tailed tree rats, tame and plump from being hand fed. There are sports facilities including a running track where I watched a martial arts class being given a workout.

One of landmarks in Taichung, where is very near to Taichung Station. Not wide but good enough to take a rest and walk for refreshment.

Would recommend dropping by and spend maybe an hour to stroll and rest at this place. Makes a good place to relax, watch pigeons, and perhaps even listen to some live music if someone's playing.

Not really a "must-visit" though.

The Taichung park is a beautiful small park to stroll along or to find some shady places. There's a pond with two pavilions. even though they are not really big, they are somehow one of the town's landmarks. Anyhow, it's a nice view across the pond to them. There are also some other small buildings located in the park including a small church. There was construction work in the past but now the park is fully accessible again.
