The Fenghuanggu Bird Park is not easy to get to but it also won't leave you with empty pockets. It's hidden in hills outside of Lugu and it's worth the effort. Many families bring a picnic lunch though food is available. The park has been upgraded with some diy activities and a modernized setting. You are able to experience a variety of tropical birds upclose. The colors and voices of the birds are interesting and exciting. The grounds are hilly and very large. You'll definitely get your exercise and can easily spend 3 or 4 hours here. This park will not only hold your interest, it will also educate you. It may even leave you wanting to come back again soon. It's that interesting.

This provided us with a really enjoyable day out. Spread out over a huge area is what made this seem rather unique to me. It's like taking a forest walk whilst gawking at the huge selection of birds they have. On top of that there's an impressive suspension bridge and a tall forest slide hidden away in middle of it all - our 2yr old loved it! Never actually been anywhere like this. It takes a couple of hours to walk to the far end (inc. many stops) but there is a shuttle available for the less abled or anyone who doesn't want to walk (probably most people in the heat of summer!) Will definitely return!
