Luodong Cultural Factory in my opinion, gives a different vibes from other places in Luodong. From the top floor you can see the panoramic view of Yilan and it is beautiful! There is currently an art gallery going on now so you wouldn't want to miss it. This place is also very accessible via the free Luodong Shuttle Bus (alight at Cultural Factory directly)

Not a lot to see, but enjoyed the view and watching people do a variety of activities. Enjoyed our chats with the people minding various exhibitions.

Luodong Cultural Working House was established purposefully for art craft and handcraft. There are seasonal DIY sessions open to the public; it's better to know what they are offering before the visit. Sometimes there are exhibitions and it's entry free. What I like most is its installation art - lau dung shiuan - it is a giant tea pot made of cypress pieces, copper and mud hung up in the air. It is an art work and it is also a tea pavilion. Lau Dung Shiuan is only open to the public twice a year, during Spring and Autumn. When it is open, tea ceremonies will be hosted. Visitors must register in advance in order to get up inside Lau Dung Shiuan and in order to enjoy tea brewed by tea artists.
I forgot to mention that this art gallery was designed by Mr. Huang, Sheng-Yuan, a very famous and outstanding architect in Taiwan. His designs got many awards in the world, too. If you are a fan of architecture, it is highly recommended to design a themed tour visiting all his masterpieces around Yilan; you will be amazed.

The feeling is amazing when you climb about 100 stairs to reach the rooftop to see the Luodong's skyline, I just feel so right!

The highlight of this attraction is the stationary train and the railway track which attracted a lot of photographers when we were there. Within walking distance is the famous 林场肉羹which is like mee sua cooked in starchy gravy with thin pork slices costing only NTD35 a bowl. Nothing unusual to us but since it was highly recommended by the minsu owner, we went to try.
