About
The museum is Ju Ming’s largest artwork to date. He personally designed the architecture, landscapes, wirings and plumbing. Not only did he purchase the property to build the museum, but he also donated over 2000 pieces of his own works and personal collection to the museum for the public to view. Starting from the ground up, it took Ju Ming 12 years to finish the construction work and he had turned a vacant land into a sculpture park. The museum officially opened in 1999, planting

Address
Neighborhood: Jingshan / Wanli District
The North Coast of Taiwan (Wanli District/ Jinshan District area) is filled with breathtakingly extraordinary rock formations, the most widely known of which is the various unique geological landscapes in Yehliu Geopark. The famous Queen’s Head, Fairy Shoe, etc., are absolute works of beauty by nature’s uncanny craftsmanship. One must also taste the authentic seafood cuisine when visiting the North Coast. Delicious dishes cooked with fresh catches are the favorite of gourmets. If you visit in fall, don’t miss the great taste of Wanli crabs. Jinbaoli Old Street is as busy as it was a hundred years ago. Here you can taste the local cuisine specials of sweet potatoes, jumping taros, etc. The area of Jinshan and Wanli is also a known hot spring resort, where you can experience hot spring baths and remove your body of fatigue and stress. The Juming Museum situated in Jinshan District gathers all of Master Ju Ming's life work in the art park. Located beside the mountains and neighboring seas, the important creations from varying periods by the sculpting master are displayed in accordance with different terrains and landscapes.

Beautiful museum in a beautiful mountainous area
Nov 2019 • Friends
Being a Tai Chi practitioner, my friends brought me to this museum which is devoted to the work of a Taiwanese artist. The place is mainly about sculpture, but there are also some other exhibits (photo, modern art installations). The museum is established in a huge park, with many monumental sculpture and installations. The road to the place is lovely, especially if you ride a motorbike: a small and sinuous mountain road in a beautiful surrounding.

Open air museum with sculptures
Dec 2019 • Business
If you have a spare afternoon to spare on a nice wrather day, you must visit this museum. This is a unique place with similarities to the one in Hakone, Japan. Here you get to see the sculptures of soldiers and Tai-Chi postures in copper, iron, steel and wood. Beautiful lawns and views of a burial ground on the entire hill side overlooking the ocean. Weather permits, you can get mesmerizing views and photos.

GreAt in do pot and inside museu
Nov 2019 • Couples
We went to this museum with MyTaiwanTours and tour guide Kelly. This is a great museum. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily most of the afternoon. Still, you can wander and a Normas estate and see sculptures outside relating to martial arts and the military. Inside, there is a collection of the artists work. Very interesting place.

A very interesting artist I was not aware of.

The Juming Museum is the personal museum of an important contemporary Taiwanese artist. It contains primarily his work in a few paintings, quite a few small sculptures and a garden outside that houses his famous monumental sculptures including a famous series on the Tai Chi postures done in massive bronze blocks with vaguely human forms. Some of the recent sculptures inside the museum are interesting interactive pieces that challenge how we see ourselves. It's a great place to spend a leisurely few hours strolling around. We visited on a monsoon day and so our visit was shorter, but still well worth doing.

You Need Time For This
Apr 2019 • Friends
Unfortunately we didn’t.
They changed the exhibits on a regular basis, and each time, you can be on a free guided tour. Only issue is the guided tour takes about 2 hours. Due to bad planning, we did not have the luxury of time, but have to just snap a few pics and be on our way.
Else, I can foresee this will be a rewarding visit, if only we have the time.

April 17, 2019; “Planning” to go to Juming Museum by the same way; bus # 790 (An hour) & I already talked to a lady for a free shuttle at 10:30 AM to Juming Museum. It will be start. Maybe, I’ll get breakfast tomorrow? Maybe? I did NOT get the free shuttle because I want to be there early before the masses arrive, so I took bus 790 to Jinshan, then a taxi to Juming Museum (NT$ 250). After rain yesterday…..it was a really nice day. I left at 8:20 & I arrived at the museum at 9:10. The Juming Museum does not open until 10:00, but they let me in 15” early. I took some pictures outside first. It’s Wednesday, NOT the weekend BUT still a lot of people, via the bus system, there WITH microphones leading the multitudes, the Chinese or Taiwanese around by mike. IF they went “that” way, I’d go the “other” way! Again, one can NOT enjoy nature, a museum, a park or anything else when there IS noise! (For me!) Again, it was a pleasant time! I did NOT really enjoy the stainless steel structures OR the “Armed Forces” exhibit…..too much military stuff (For me!), but I did enjoy the “Taichi Series” & the inside art exhibits. I spent, like, 2 ½ hours there, walking around looking at the statues. It’s peaceful when it’s quiet & peaceable!

Highlight of my trip
Feb 2019
Who has heard of Juming? I had not but it was such an amazing morning that I spent there.
A friend and I were picked up from the cruise port and taken to this amazing art gallery. Send my a note if you want the amazing Mr Yin's contact details. The Gallery is outside of Taipei city and it is the size of a 2 football fields. The indoor gallery had some international artis work like Henry moore, andy warhol for and others for example . The Gallery also had a great gift shop. Outside there were a number of scupltural series, people of the world, navy service men, parachuters, children, zipper series. OMG my breath was taken away at the wonderful sculptures. there was another building with a ballerina series and and an athlete series. This artist has recieved international acclaim with shows in Berlin, paris, and other world sites. He is a national treasure. It is worth going here.

Don’t miss it!!
Dec 2018 • Couples
Jumping Museum and sculpture park is one of the most amazing art venues we’ve visited anywhere in the world, and we’ve visited lots!

It’s the vision and work of one man, Ju Ming, and is located on a hillside overlooking the sea about 45 minutes by car from Taipei City.

The park and museum displays over 2000 pieces, grouped in various themes such as Science Area ( sculptures of famous figures from science) , Performance Area, Sports Square, Living World Square, and many more. Many of the sculptures are figures at around person height— others are huge shapes and figures like large Henry Moore works.

Much of the work is quite outstanding, very original, and beautifully displayed on the huge park and in the two museum buildings. There is also a restaurant and s cafe on site .

We were there on a wet day, and it was still great— a bright sunny day could have you there enjoying the work for hours.

We loved it— a Taiwan highlight

Awesome Museum
Oct 2018 • Family
This museum is massive and it was my first visit to this part of Northern Taiwan. I loved the art pieces and it is also relatively quiet here, thus it was perfect for a relaxed and peaceful visit.

Love this Museum!
Sep 2018 • Family
This is the 3rd time I visited this museum. First time in the summer. It was really hot to visit but it never disappoints. Love all the sculptures. There seems to be more collection not limited to Ju Ming, noted there are quite a few not done by Ju Ming. There is a new collection of ballerinas.

Great place to pay a visit if you visit Taiwan.
