陳清吉洋樓因曾有軍隊駐紮過，所以大門上有國徽，雖不算很豪華，但在碧山聚落算是最好的洋樓，現已無人居住，但軍中樂園曾於此拍攝，所以算乾淨，只是有些樓板有破損要小心安全。

洋樓不僅造型氣派，且駐足洋樓外觀看時，從門聯、瓷磚到花窗，各個細緻優美。不過，電影拍攝結束後，目前洋樓內與電影相關的布景皆已不在，門戶雖開但乏人管理，並不是一處公告開放的景點，入內觀看要小心。

陳清吉洋樓的位置在碧山聚落比較深處，但它的美很輕易就會讓人停下腳步。樓房外觀還保存良好，門簾、花磚和屋體雕刻都非常精緻，值得細細品味，可以想見當時的富饒。內裡因久無使用而有些殘破，但結構都還完整，若能稍加整理應該會是金門很代表性的景點。周圍的碧山聚落很有生活感，不是觀光氣息濃厚的地方，在屋宇間散步探索，一個下午就過去了。

陳清吉洋樓始建於1928年，木料、磚石及師傅皆來自泉州，西元1931年此幢「三凹壽」、「二落」及有「左右護龍」的洋樓正式落成，內部共有十二間房間，屋前有寬闊的內埕，洋樓四周圍有外牆，左右各有門樓，建物抬高約一公尺，量體更顯高大；正面山頭採簡約花瓣造型，二樓外廊、一樓大門及窗戶均有鑄鐵防盜門窗，正面楣樑上刻有「Union Is Strength」(團結就是力量)、托槍印度兵及舢舨船伕的泥塑，為全金門僅見。 大門門楣上有「相國遺澤」、「武功衍派」匾額，壁面上的花卉及水果主題彩釉磁磚，呈現了中西合璧的特色。1949年後，洋樓被徵作國軍幹訓班使用，遺留的字樣似乎曾有砲兵的觀測集訓隊，右側門樓也有國徽的圖案，為這段歷史留下印記。直到80年代末期方才停用。此洋樓亦是電影「軍中樂園」主要的場景之一。

此行金門自由行，暑假人多，運氣不錯未預約還能在機場租到兩天機車，最後一天少了機車，正好所住背包客棧有提供變速腳踏車供騎乘，十分幸運，使清早能有機會再往田埔水庫、觀日門的方向騎，將第二天因時間不夠沒仔細看完的風景，再觀覽一遍！
看完觀日門經田埔水庫往金沙鎮的方向騎行，經一片海岸樹林後，一個轉彎處，即見到雖斑駁難掩逸秀的一座洋樓，之後才得知是陳清吉洋樓！
由於時間還早，後來才知陳清吉洋樓是電影的拍攝場地，似乎有開放，當時只隱約感受洋樓有恢弘氣勢，與周遭局部略顯頹傾的閩南古厝，共構獨特的歷史氛圍！
由於附近的睿友學校，旁邊有一石鐫刻有「阮的家鄉是碧山」，得知陳清吉洋樓所在即碧山聚落，因電影拍攝後又有繪本作者彩繪街巷，使附近逐漸成為遊客尋遊的知名景點！
至於「阮的家鄉是碧山」則是金門作家陳長慶邀請曾指導文學創作的黃春明題字，再由金門石雕師傅鐫刻而成，綜合以觀，日升月落，碧山聚落古道歷史傳承悠久，文風鼎盛其來有自!

不像其他洋樓那般豪華，但那滄桑斷垣殘壁的美，令人更想進去探險一探究竟。雖經過歷史淬鍊，門上的石雕和磁磚上的花色，還有整棟洋樓的設計，可想當年有多氣派。上樓時要特別小心，久未修繕的木製樓梯，走起來需要特別注意安全。不建議帶小孩子或老人入內。

相較於陳景蘭洋樓，這個洋樓沒甚麼名聲、沒有導覽人員、也幾乎沒整修。
但也因此，留下了很多廢墟風格的美。像是走到頂樓，就可以清楚看到斷裂的石塊、女兒牆柱子。
也因為年久失修，進到洋樓內要注意自己的安全。
鄰近沙美，可以和沙美老街的行程安排在一起。

外觀如內在一樣神秘且寧靜座落在小村莊裡，雖然不似一般觀光景點般秩序，但原汁原味的建築及風味更添一種神秘感，令人欲罷不能。

位於鮮少人知碧山聚落的陳清吉洋樓，應該是由電影軍中樂園而讓大家認識，其實，它也有一段輝煌的歷史，現在看起來感覺非常斑駁老舊，內部也凌亂不堪，也或許是私人產業吧，沒有持續保養維護覺得很可惜，但是還是推薦大家來碧山走走，就是因為沒有太多商業的包裝，碧山聚落更顯得有傳統之美

位子有一點偏遠,交通不是很方便。在戰地時期被國民黨政府作為防衛的據點，之後才改成一般的觀光點，說真的維護不太好，有一點可怕。
