Very cute little train station. Especially enjoyed the train statue spouting smoke periodically with recording of the origin of the train station.

This railway station is nothing great. It is just a small gauge railway , nothing more. The railway station is surrounded by shops so food can be had here. you could take a return train ride if you have time to kill.

Jiji is quiet, beautiful area in central Taiwan. We did some biking and motorscootering through the countryside. The is clean and smells of jasmine hang in the air. We took a trip on the train up to Checheng. Some good Japanese architecture and very relaxing.

A peaceful area with an old locomotive and an armour tank to take photo with. Hope onto the train for a ride to the next few stations for an inexpensive amount. A few shopping areas around too, and good food as well.

Perhaps it was due to the fact we went on Monday there was no major crowd. You can get a one day pass at the start of the Jiji line in Ershui which allows you to get on/off at any of the 6 stops. There...More

We went to Jiji during our holiday in Taiwan this past Nov for a visit and we were not disappointed. The town itself is very small with many shops selling banana products : banana ice cream, banana egg rolls and fried banana (even banana skin!)...More
