Jiaoxi has the BEST HOTSPRING in Taiwan!?!
Feb 2021 • Friends
Jiaoxi is the closest thing to paradise you can in Taiwan. With its cheap price and low level of pollution, it is also the starting place of 星云大师 Venerable Master Hsing Yun. It has great people, great air, and great hotsprings everywhere. Come to this park, and you will not regret it.

Interesting
Nov 2018 • Friends
The springs here do not have a strong sulfur smell, unlike the springs in PeiTou. It was in the end of November and the weather was good around 25C or 80F. Very relaxing and comfortable.

Very relaxing
Dec 2018 • Solo
Jiaosi Hot Spring Park is just beside the bus terminal. There are free foot baths, open air theater, coffee shop and so on. As it is a resort place, this park is also very relaxing. You don’t need to hustle.

Hot spring house within this park
Jul 2018 • Solo
I walked from Jiaoxi train station looking for the hot spring park and chanced upon this little hot spring bathhouse at the end of the park. It is divided into female and male bath.
Entrance fee is 120 NTD for non residents. Towel is 50 NTD and shower cap is a must at 10 NTD. No limit on time spent inside.
The female bath has 4 different pools with different temperatures ranging from 31.5 to 42 degrees.it seem popular with Taipei obasan as they comes in small group to enjoy the bath here as I spoke to some of them. They like the environment and is only 50 mins Express bus from Taipei. They can sit around and chit chat with friends and roam freely within the compound.
Highly recommend if you are in Jiaoxi area or make a short trip form Yilan.
They do have lockers at 20 NTD to store your belongings. You can also place them around the pools within your visibility if it is not crowded.

Enjoy the Free Hot Spring near Jiaoxi Bus Station
Jun 2018 • Solo
Jiaoxi, known for its hot spring, is the best place for the city dwellers who seek a quiet and peaceful weekend or vacation.

Jiaoxi Hot Spring Park, located near the bus station, is a free hot spring that gets cleaned regularly and sells drinks and tea eggs.

If you are in Jiaoxi, come here and take your shoes off, to enjoy this cool and soothing hot spring.

Japanese Bathhouse
Mar 2018 • Couples
Upon searching for what to do in Yilan, I came upon this bathhouse. It is not widely mentioned on TA and the bathhouse is located within the park parameter. So to find it, you need to google map it to “Jiaoxi Hot Spring Park Forest Furo (Bath)”. You can get to the website from google (facebook page) which will have the latest pricing and opening hours.

We parked at the back entrance of the park (side street). As other TAs mentioned, it is separated by men and women (traditional japanese bathroom style) and fully nude.

Entrance fee was NT120 in March 2018 and we brought our own towels from the hotel. For ladies, bring a shower cap or a swimming cap if you could (otherwise you can buy one for NT10 i believe).

There are 3 hot pools and one cold one for adults and one kiddie pool (we didn’t see any kids there when we went). Two of hot pools were steamy hot where you shouldn’t stay past 15 mins and the cold pool was refreshing. See map below.

We only stayed for 1 hour as that’s all you need after all unless you are there to chitchat with your friends.
