This Chuanfanshih (rock formation) is said to resemble the sail of a ship. Some said that it also resembled the head of ex US president Nixon. To me, it does not resembled both. Anyway, this is a scenic for a quick stopover and photo shoot.

Kenting not only a beach resorts but offered many variety of site seeing such as Hengchun old city, National Park, Wind Power museum etc and very Sunday there will be a crowded night market at Hengchun apart from the daily night stalls along the main Kenting town. Both Hengchun,Kenting and Xiao Wan are more bustling town with lots of happening. A much more quiet beach area is Chuanfan Rock and certainly there are many more quieter beach resorts way out of Kenting. For sashimi and seafood lovers must head to Horbihu(後壁湖)which is a quiet fishermen village. But there are only limitation of public transport to here. Best is to rent a bike and enjoy round the Island rides. It's absolutely amazing.

A nice stretch of coastline, great for sunset pictures. There is one very prominent rock formation making for an interesting change to the coastline scenery.
