A short viait
May 2019 • Friends
Water is very clean and you can go on rocks then see some sea animals. Pretty good and relax place,I didn’t stop too long during lunch time since the sun is very strong. There is a display center that you can understand many different kind of sand. Also free toilet!

Nothing much.

Its a just a small sealed off area of the beach. Nothing to see in particular. Not worth making a trip to visit.

Beach and Museum
Jan 2018 • Couples
The Sand Island has a beautiful white sand beach that (when I visited) is not open to the public. You can view it, but you can't go there and walk on the sand, swim in the sea, etc. They are trying to preserve the beach.

To the side, there is a museum of sorts with massive tubes of sand. The different tubes are different colours and textures, and there are information posters telling you which beaches in Kenting have which kind of sand, if the sand is made up of volcanic rock particles or shell particles, and other fascinating information.

A Must-Visit Beach!
Mar 2018 • Couples
This has got to be one of most beautiful beaches that I have ever visited. The sand is clean and clear, the sea has different shades of blue, against the backdrop of the clear blue sky. A must visit location.

This beach is not a big place as part of it has been cordoned off for environmental protection. But a beautiful place for phototaking. There is a visitors' education centre to educate guests on the type of sand found in this and other beaches in the area. Toilets are available and well maintained. For food, there are two small scale family-type restaurants opposite the road.

Get your sunset views!
Feb 2017 • Family
Cap off a day of sightseeing with a relaxing beach time in softer sand. Can't beat those sunsets! Great for photographers and sand castle builders.

Gorgeous Sunset
Feb 2017 • Family
The beach is beautiful, the sand is soft, and the waves are powerful. Great for a bit of surf boarding or beach walking. The sunset is beautiful on cloudless or slightly cloudy evenings. Prepare to get a bit wet, as you will want to dip your feet in the water.

Nice sand beach but not spectacular compared to other beaches
Dec 2016 • Couples
This place has three parts, an interpretive learning center, a sand beach, and a coral reef beach. In the interpretive learning center, one can learn the sand/shell content of various beaches and how they are formed differently. One can also step onto the coral rocks and touch the ocean water. The white sand/shell beach is off-limits so one can take a nice picture but can not get onto it. There are many many nice beaches around the world. Other than the interpretive learning center, this beach would not stand out.

Beautiful Views

Sand Island at Kenting is a must-visit when touring around Kenting for it has amazing views of the pacific ocean and it has absolutely white sand filled with sea shells. It is also good for great photos!
