There are numerous food sellers here who sell real bad tastings food here. Lavatories are not clean. Water is not warm compared to other places in Taiwan.

The lighthouse was being renovated. You can’t go into the lighthouse.
It’s just the gardens around it.

Place is accesible by bus 9188 only on weekdays as local bus 101 only extends to Eluanbi on weekends. Bus stop is very close to lighthouse entrance/ticketing office. Costs NTD60. Lighthouse currently under renovations. Grounds around park still a nice place to walk. The entrance to Longkeng Ecological Area & entrance to Southern Most tip of Taiwan marker is an uphill walk about 1km from bus stop.

Great place to watch sunset! Be sure you get there early so you could watch the beautiful sunset, with the lighthouse right next to you!

Love the park. My second visit to the park since June this year.
This time encountered a drizzling morning. Though it didn’t quite kill my liking for this place.
I have always enjoyed the lighthouse. On a bright sunny day like in June when we first visited, with the blue sky, the lighthouse really stood out. A slow walk to the shore also allowed us to see the vast natural vegetation there. Can see the mountain ranges from far when up in the slopes. Scenic, relaxing and romantic. Love the park.
This time round, though it was drizzling, I still find it relaxing to walk to the shore. A park that has a lot to offer. Recommended!

We left feeling somewhat conflicted. There's a 80 NTD entry fee (as of July 2017), which may not be much depending on where you're coming from, but there's really not much to see once you're inside.
Granted, there's a fairly decent view of the sea from the lookout point, and free access to the lighthouse, which is closed on Mondays (something everyone seems to forget to mention). I suppose SOMEONE has to pay for the upkeep of the lawn.
As it is, we just walked all the way to the top, peeked at the lighthouse from outside the locked gate, cooled down at the gift shop (selling refreshments and random craft items that have no particular connection to Eluanbi itself), before heading to the shade-less lookout point (aka human barbecue pit).
Call me spoiled, but better views can probably be had for free elsewhere.

Clean park with lots of parking. The lighthouse is not near to the seashore. To me it's just ok. Toilets
Should be cleaner, I hope

What a waste of time, effort, & money to come all the way here yet not allowed to walk up the Lighthouse or enter the gated compound for educational purposes. It's quite a long uphill walk towards the lighthouse from the entrance. The view overlooking the Sth China Sea was nice but not a wow & it's just another ordinary nice scenery you could get anywhere along the coast. Would i recommend visiting this spot, i think can give a go unless you are on the way to sthg else.

Beautiful Lighthouse rebuilt by the US after we bombed it during WWII (the Japanese were in Taiwan at that point). Makes for some pretty pictures. Hiking trails nearby with scenic lookouts that are worth the walk. Beautiful open grounds with areas to enjoy lunch. Take a picnic.

- From entrance to lighthouse, there is quite a walking distance (no shelter, so do bring a hat or an umbrella).
- In the park there are vending machines selling drinks and a shop selling both drinks and souvenir.
- Not a must-visit if you are rushing for time.

This might sound like a really stupid question, but i am very confused about this. Is the Eluanbi park a park by itself or it is inside Kenting national park? Would appreciate if you could reply me! Thank You very much!
Written June 8, 2016
Eluanbi Park is a park within the bigger Kenting National Park, which covers almost the whole southern tip of Taiwan (the Hengchun Peninsula). There is no general entrance fee for Kenting Natonal Park, but each sight within it has its separate entrance fee (Eluanbi, Jialeshuei, Kenting Forest Recreation Park, Chuhuo Nature Fire).
