Better than average
Dec 2019
The shops here are really cool with more than the average trinkets. Some unique items, great food and excellent location. Make sure you go upstairs too, and check out the merry go round outside.

Tourist shopping mall
Dec 2019 • Couples
Located about a 15 minute walk from the cruise terminal the mall consists of three areas each with shops and eateries. There are no shops in the cruise terminal itself so popular with passengers looking for retail therapy.

Prices are fairly expensive.

A dead mall
May 2019 • Family
Nothing in here?!!! A mall with 6 shops maybe, looks old and creepy.

The one opposite building, facing the banana mall in grey is far far better than this one.

Interesting displays on Taiwan history in banana exports
Jul 2018 • Solo
Banana Pier is a mall with restaurants and retail units. The main attraction is a corner with displays on Taiwan’s history in exporting bananas. All text are in Chinese. There are also interesting banana food products on sale. Location-wise, it is beside Kaohsiung Port Warehouse No 2, with ferries heading to Cijin.

Walking around Banana Pier & Pier 2 art center
Apr 2018 • Family
When you come to this place then you will know why it named Banana Pier. You can learn some history about this place yet, there are few souvenir shops at the Pier. Most recent, there is new small mall just open up cross street of Banana Pier, with great view like the pic shown, I would come back again.

Nice stroll on way to park
Feb 2017 • Couples
This mall is conveniently located on the way from the cruise ship terminal to the nearby park (which has lots of interesting statues), if you want to have a walk. The mall is recognizable for its featuring the history of bananas, including a couple of stevedore statues outside.

Tip: There are good WC restroom facilities available inside.

What a Cute Place!
Mar 2017 • Business
This place is so cute. If you should like to learn more about the export history of bananas, there is a display section in the mall. Taiwan country export bananas. We had only a short time. Inside the mall there's a shop where you can buy your souvenirs.

So-So
Jun 2015 • Couples
This place is kind of cute. Export of bananas in Taiwan used to be very prosperous. If you sould like to learn more about the export history of bananas, there is a display section in the mall which is quite interesting.

Tip: Drop by if you visit Pier-2 Art centre, the two are quite close.
