Great place to see the Kaohsiung city and surround mountain area from high

Great place to be on top of the lake and can see the around area includes Kaohsiung city and the high speed rail. Cannot drive to the entrance due to the mountain road are small, need to park on the parking lot and take shuttle ( TWD$25 ) per way. The view was great and enjoy the breeze. Be cautious of the hot since no cover inside the park.

Like others i travelled there by a combination of metro and taxi. The mrt ride is about 30min per trip, so we went first to Qiaotou for the drum performance before heading northwards by a couple of stations to Gangshan South station. Cab driver suggested we could also visit the Air Force Museum in the same region to make our trip worthwhile.

The walk offers a good view of the surrounding. During our visit, sky was clear but a bit too warm for December.

Nice and thrilling

The skywalk bridge is relatively new (opening in 2017) and offers nice panoramic views over the country. Standing on the crystal floor gives you a stunning thrill.
Be aware, that the hillside place can only be reached by shuttle bus or taxi -private cars are not allowed.

Nice architecture and view when weather is good, but better to come in the early morning or it would be too hot to stay longer.

Travel to Skywalk Park

Our group of 12 people was here in early December 2019. We boarded the MRT from Formosa Blvd Station to Siaogangshan station. From Siaogangshan station to Skywalk we took a taxi. The bus is here only once an hour. It takes the hilly path to get here. The weather here is cool with light rain. The view from the top of the skywalk is so beautiful and amazing. There are also many food stalls but not halal.

It's my 2nd time to come here, the place is so diffirent than the 1st time. I didn't like it ☹️, I think they need to trim the trees the place seems to look very dry...
