Overheard a tour guide saying that the mountain top view is far better. Now I fully understood what he meant. Standing on mountain top, you look down 360 degree to explore the golden flower sea with different backgrounds to make the views more gorgeous & magnificent. We are lucky to come here earlier to avoid the crowds, thus we can relax to fully enjoy all the fabulous views as we wish. Definitely a must do activity if you come to Hualien during the flower season.

It was a beautiful place to visit. We took our bikes with us and went on a nice bike ride along the fields of lilies. We tried the deep fried lilies and they were surprisingly good. The flavored lily Popsicle really wasn't my favorite though. There were lots of people when we went so be prepared for crowds and lots of cars on the weekends.

This mountain gets all orange in August and we were lucky enough to be in the area at that time. The road is winding and it takes some effort to get there. Once there the views are lovely but there are way too many tourists here which definitely detracts from the visit. A good place to stop by if you are doing the Rift Valley road.

This is probably the most-visited lily-flower mountain on the island, not only because of its verdant hills but its easy-to-get-swooned atmosphere. The scorching sun and the intolerable temperatures seem to be gone while you reach the top.

Went there at the beginning August 2014. We take train from Hualien to Fuli Train Station and rent taxi (1400 NT for return) since there is no shuttle bus. The taxi driver became our tour guide too.
The location is up in the mountain and the road is really curvaceous. After 30 min drive, it was paid off with a very beautiful scenery made by the mountains, rice field, and dayliles.
You can eat fried daylilies or eat the daylilies soup as well buy the dried daylilies.
It's suitable for you who want to find a non mainstream activities in Hualien as well enjoying the beautiful nature (incl taking pictures with/of daylilies).

This is one of the view point of daylily field, Liushishi Mountain(Sixty Stone Mountain).
Lily flower season drop on July-September, climb up this view kiosk you can look out to the East Rift Valley of Hualien.
On the season of lilyflower, hualien goverment provide public shuttle bus to the daylily field, follow up the Hualien travel offical website to get the lastest info. Or if you stay at any homestay of hualien, do ask the owner for futher info.
It is amazing to be here, beauty and gorgeous on the daylily season.

I visited here with my family, a good place to see with good view and nice foods there.
Only needs to remember the traffic is terrible.

I went there in august, the winding road climbs for some km and is far from the main road, so you need a car or a scooter, a lot of people but you will enjoy
