Beitou Park

Beitou Park: Address, Phone Number, Beitou Park Reviews: 4/5

About
Beitou Park is situated along the central part of the Beitou River at the tail end of Yangmingshan National Park. The six-hectare park can be reached by walking from Xinbeitou MRT Station in the direction of Diregu (Hell Valley), another visit-worthy attraction adjacent to the park. Park facilities include a hot spring education center, hokutolite conservation area, administration center, indoor and outdoor bathing springs, a children's hot spring play area, and a topiary maze. One of the highlights at the park is a series of five small waterfalls, with hot spring pools at each of the falls. The well-planned hot spring area is also an excellent spot to fully enjoy a spring bath. Another park attraction is the Plum Pavilion. Built during the latter part of the Japanese occupation period, the tree-shaded pavilion offers a cool spot to relax. The pavilion has been designated by the Taipei City Government as a historic building. Enjoy a hot spring soak and the rich culture and history of Beitou at Beitou Park!

Free Public Park with Hot Spring fountain
Nov 2019
The park is not too large compared to many parks we have seen. However, this is a hot spring area and the park has lots of greenery with a hot stream running through. People come here just to rest, exercise or pass the time. We saw hot water gushing out of a fountain in the centre of the park. The park is between Xinbeitou station to the thermal valley.

Beautiful park- an oasis
Feb 2020
The park is a short walk from Xinbeito station and extends up to the Beito hot spring museum. It was beautiful and green and full of people sitting and relaxing and we saw an older couple practicing their dancing. There are ponds and bridges creating a lovely atmosphere.

Beito creeks runs thru it and it has lots of sitting areas and it exuded a quiet serenity when surrounded by the busy roads around it full of cars. An oasis in which to rest.

Make the time to walk thru it or have a rest here on your way to Hell valley and the Hot spring museum.

Wonderful place after bathing

It is a large green area extending between MRT Xinbeitou station and Hot Spring Museum. It is a very nice place to take a walk after bathing. But be careful: drinking alcoholic beverage is not allowed in this park.

Right by the xinbeitou station with a very central location. Apparently it’s 6 hectares but doesn’t look so. There are some hotsprings and pools within the park

An amazing park with history and beauty
Mar 2018 • Business
Have you seen a park with over 200 years history? Can you imagine in the center of a metropolitan city like Taipei, you can find a place like Kyoto with hills, ponds with lotus, with a poetic clean stream running through it?

Beitou library is well known to visitors abroad, it is Japanese style, features a pagoda in the front, the singing stream running on the side, a natural water-lily / lotus pond on one side with access bridge to the library, and another newish pond on the other.

There are Japanese style hotels sitting besides the hill. The Ketagelan culture center is next if you're interested in local history and culture. The Beitou train station is also a stylish building.

Remember, you will smell sulfur there as Beitou is famous for its hotsprings. Enjoy the hotspring with families and friends ! The Beitou Park a great plus for your hotspring trip.

Pretty park.
Nov 2016 • Couples
I'm surprised that there are not more reviews for this park. If you're coming out of Xinbeitou Metro station and heading to the Hotspring area, this park is just walking distance from the station.
We went there in the evening, and it looked nice even at the time. I assume it will look better during the day. There are small streams and ponds, which you can cross with bridges. There were old and young people around the whole area, taking strolls, exercising or just sitting around and chatting. We spent some time there walking around and just enjoyed the views for abit.
There are many hot spring hotels within the area; but we took a cab up towards one of the higher hot spring centres.

Walk inside the park, not on the bordering sidewalk
Jan 2017 • Couples
You can't miss the park if you're heading to hot spring territory from the metro stop. But instead of taking the direct route, walk inside the park along the grass, ponds, and bridges, and stream up to the public library.
