    Nice beach!
Nice beach and looks incredible, though you need to be careful swimming only within the flagged area. Getting to the beach requires walking some really steep steps, so bear that in mind, as you also have to walk up the stairs. There was a lot of people and we also saw some monkies.

    Beautiful but crowded beach
Aesthetically, this was my favorite beach I visited in Bali. It had beautiful waters and gorgeous views of rock formations on the beach. However, the beach is overrun and if you do manage to find a spot to lay out, the workers will put up sunbrellas for other visitors and block your sun. There is a spot further up the beach that is less visited.

    Over crowded, underwhelming beach
Honestly, we were underwhelmed. The beach was extremely crowded. 15K/ foreigner to get in. The walk down through the rock cave-like area was honestly the coolest part. Unfortunately, there is nothing special about this beach. We came and went all under 30 minutes.

    Padang Padang Beach
Lovely sandy beach nestled under a cliff. Bit busy but the water was calm and underfoot in the water soft sand. A few places to buy drinks and a reggae vibe. Good for everyone.

    Underwhelming
We heard this was one of the best beaches in Uluwatu and a “must visit” but we found it was a very small beach, and quite overcrowded. You have to pay to go down, and once there, there were very few umbrellas and as the tide/waves were coming in, it meant the first two rows of belongings were soaked through/washed out to sea, so people couldn’t really sit down to relax. It was a very idyllic setting, beautiful cliffs, turquoise waters and lovely to swim in, with lots of surfers. There is a small beach bar and a few stalls selling items like sarongs & drinks. We only stayed for an hour or two, we could only class it as a visit rather than somewhere to enjoy a full beach day. If we were to come to Uluwatu again, we would find another, bigger and more relaxing beach to go to.

    Beautiful but busy
Very worth while taking the trip to see this iconic beach, but I doubt we'll be back. It was packed, and we spent most of our time watching our gear rather than relaxing and enjoying the beach. It is beautiful and calm and picturesque. Go and take some insta worthy photos, get their really early if you dont want to squeeze yourself in amongst the hundreds of others.

A beautiful beach on the coast of Bali.
Padang Padang beach is located in the South of Bali, Indonesia near Uluwatu. The rock formation surrounding this beach was definitely my favourite thing about it. I come from a tropical island in the Indian Ocean called Seychelles where most of the rocks are granite. Padang Padang beach is protected by volcanic rock. The bay is beautiful; on its left is a volcanic rock cave which means that there is shade in that area where you can swim if you would prefer no strong sun. We went at sunset which was definitely worth it. The locals have set up little bars and shops; we decided to have a drink at sunset and it was lovely. This beach is definitely worth going to if you are around the area.

    Beautiful beach!!!
This beach is so beautiful with turquoise water color with a few limestones sticking out of the water, so picturesque. The beach is very small, crowded and requires an entrance fee (15,000 rupiah per adult). The access to the beach requires many stairs but well worth it. There are free toilets with separate washing area for feet. We’re so glad we got to experience this beach, which is by far one of the prettiest beaches we’ve seen near the Nusa Dua resort area. Highly recommended.

    Small picturesque beach, but...
A smaller picturesque beach with crystal clear water, surrounded by rocks. There is a small entrance fee. You go down the stairs to it. Which can be more challenging with small children. Unfortunately, at the time we visited it was packed, we could barely find a place to lie down. There were umbrellas available, but they were fully booked. You have to go up the stairs to the toilets, they are not close at hand. A small bar or snack stand is available. but when I saw the hygienic conditions, I preferred not to buy anything.

So disappointing! The beach was super dirty and we couldn’t really swim in the water due to the amount of garbage. It’s such a shame as it has so much potential. For a beach that charges an entry fee (albeit it a small amount), we expected a better and cleaner beach. The only thing we enjoyed was seeing the monkeys however be careful as they can be sneaky.

We were so looking forward to this place.
It was such a disappointment.
First you have to pay to get in, it wasn’t a lot, but I would like to know what the funds are for??
Beware ....THERE are a lot stairs, first you come across the monkeys ...photo time... they can pinch phones etc so beware, then there are the stairs, if you are young, no problem, over 50 ish you will battle coming back up, it is quite lovely walking down the twisty stairs, you get to the bottom, and it’s crowded, The water is dirty with all sorts of things floating in it, the sand had rubbish on it, such a shame as without all the rubbish it is quite pretty, we were there in the quiet time and it was busy, and a thousand surfers out, the plus side you do have free showers to wash off, then there is the stairs coming back up, you gotta laugh, my husband powered up them, me and my two friends had to stop half way then maybe every ten steps thereafter to rest🤣 at lest I had company in my moment of unfitness

Everyone mentions Eat Pray Love for this peach but I think it's more than that.

It is very popular yet not so crowded (I don't know if I was early). You can enjoy the beach to the fullest with its rawness. Yes, it is still raw, clean and perfect for snorkelling.

Since they have an entrance fee for environment and maintenance purposes, I wish for more public toilets/ shower, changing rooms with clothing hooks and functioning clean taps.

However, the beach is super nice and pretty.

Remembering how wonderful this beach was when I visited 20 years ago, it was a must do when I brought my children to Bali in March 2020. My disappointment started when we had to pay to go to the beach. Fun was had walking through the caves, but our hearts sank when we emerged on the beach. The water and beach were filthy with large amount of rubbish. The place was so crowded that we could not even sit down. We walked to the rocks and decided not to swim as we thought it unsafe due to the large amounts of rubbish. There was no beauty in this place which was a shame. We decided to turn around, very hot, and walk back up to our car, ver disappointed.

Been a long time since the last moment i went there. Yesterday when i was passing by the bridge, i peeked down from the bridge and found out the beach is not as crowded as usual, then i decided to go down.

The beach is so beautiful, the water was clean and clear! Wonderful!!
There’s toilet at the beach and also near the entrance, all are clean!
Worth the entry ticket fee, tho..

Just people need to stop throwing away their rubbish, escape plastics at the beach, please!

The beach with the rocks very nice but the rundown local cafe and some locals with their stands at the back didn't make it appealing anymore. Not that they bothered anyone, just I thought it will be a secluded beach but its not. Small and in my opinion not so worth visiting. Steep stairs down to get to beach. Need pay small entrance fee 2AUD per adult

We thought Padang Padang Beach was the best or second best beach we visited in our barely 4 weeks in Bali. It cost 20 SEK in admission to the beach for us two adults and there were a lot of eateries close at hand. However, we chose to walk about 10 minutes to eat at The Place With No Name which was very good! Only restaurant we encountered that only took cards and no cash (some were the opposite but most took both options).

Worth knowing is that the tide moves quickly after lunch (at least when we were there). This means that you want to be there early before it is no longer possible to be on the beach.

Padang Padang Beach is a small sandy bay where you can sunbathe and relax. It is an easy walk down the road where you will meet a lot of monkeys. There is a small entrance fee of Rp 10,000 to the beach. The beach once got popular because of its feature in the movie ‘Eat, Pray, Love’

We had expected to see surfers paradise. Instead we found ourselves on a very small beach (with an admission fee) which was overcrowded. A few bars, nothing else. No view, and no access to other beaches or bays.
Happy to descend and climb many stairs if there is anything worthwhile, but not here!
