do as we say, not as we do?
Mar 2021
The aquarium is wonderful. I could not give it a five though because while there is an exhibit about the harm caused by plastic in the ocean, they have shops that sell everything in plastic containers making themselves part of thee problem. Really they should be showing how things can be done without the plastic.

Nicely planned, family friendly
Jan 2021 • Friends
Thankfully it was the week before the holidays here. There weren’t as many people so we can really relax and enjoy each exhibit. I was impressed with the amount of thought and funds to go into each display. There were many interactive exhibits for young and old which in a joyful way taught as well. The restaurants offered were relaxing as well as quick it’s available. Walking out to the water was connective to whole ambience of the park. Well done. I would recommend it.

Nice Surprise
Aug 2020 • Couples
I assumed this was just for kids to splash in the fountain pools but I was surprised to see great tunnels of fish and jellyfish and marine mammals and English signage.

Full of Marine Life
Aug 2019
I can say that almost all type of marine life living at this aquarium. I really love the beluga, they are so friendly and huge!! If you are curious about starfish, you can experienced yourself with touching them in real life. But, don't forget to wash your hand before and after touching them. They also sell a delicious ice cream outside the museum.

The Largest Marine Museum in Taiwan!
Feb 2020

The largest marine biology aquarium in Taiwan! It has various underwater animals and fishes. My boys like the penguins so much. A must visit spot in Kenting!

For ticket purchasing, I would recommend to buy at the convenience store "7-ELEVEN". Reasonable price for double and a parent with kid.

Superb aquarium!
Jan 2020
Very impressive aquarium! Exceeded expectations and the largest tanks I have ever laid eyes on. Great family activity, we travelled down from Nantou county for this and well worth the trip! Highlight for me would be the humungous Coral Kingdom tank with a shipwreck and various underwater tunnels passing through for spectators to get a real feel for being underwater with marinelife. Also the Beluga whales and scuba diver feeding was impressive. Such a variety of different marine ecologies in each section of the museum. If I had to find fault it would be that the touch and feel session for the kids was rather strcit; not even allowed to pick up the starfish.
All in all a great day out and well worth the entrance fee. Will return! :-D

Fulfills a great educational role
Nov 2019
This visit represents great value and whilst I often question whether we should keep creatures in captivity, the excitement and enthusiasm shown by local children for this facility made me realise what a valuable educational role it fills. Not as exciting as the marina in Osaka but far less expensive and highly recommended.

Great overnight visit
Dec 2019 • Family
We were looking for something special to do and found this promotion via eztravel (a tour company) at the Taipei train station. It was not cheap but everything was included (long distance train, transport to aquarium, lunches, dinners). We had a BLAST! Stayed overnight inside the ‘tunnel’ section of the aquarium. Staff lead night trips to exhibits to see what happens when the lights get turned off. Back stage feeding of animals (sharks, rays.. ). The program is very well run, flows flawlessly. Including many Taiwan homestyle food during dinner. All cafeteria style, pick what you want to try. Breakfast is also toast or Taiwan style. I can imagine pickier eater will still enjoy toast or fries, white rice. Now my son loves futon style bedrolls! Every bedding item is included, bring your own toiletries and a towel for shower. Dedicated locker with individual locks. For us, it was a once in lifetime chance to sleep overnight in an aquarium. The sight to fishes swimming overhead in the morning is unforgettable.
