- John PEdenvale, South Africa138 contributionsWouldn’t return again to see the showThis review is quite a tricky one. For us, the transfers were on time, transport good and drivers friendly. On arrival, really didn’t know what to do but once you get your ticket then its pretty much self explanatory. We had the inclusive dinner, transfers and gold class seating for the show. Dinner itself was quite nice. The show was ok. Don’t think there was any need to purchase gold seats, it only puts you slightly more to the front but means you are last in the queue to collect your phones on the way out. I think shows these days are past needing to use animals, especially the way elephants are trained behind the scenes but overall it was an experience but probably overpriced for what you get. Perhaps families with children might get more out of it and the park itself but not really sure what they tried to create when designing the “theme” park. Didn’t regret we did it but wouldn’t go again.Visited December 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten December 18, 2022
- ChrisMelbourne, Australia13 contributionsGreat experience recommended. Don’t go too early though.. show starts at 9pm. 7pm is a good time to arrive.Fantasea is an incredible show that immerses you in Thai culture and mythology. The attention to detail is phenomenal, and the performers are both talented and entertaining. The special effects and technology used in the show are mind-blowing. The elephants, goats and chickens were also very clever, trainers have done an amazing job. The entire experience is unforgettable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Phuket.Visited June 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten June 12, 2023
- Farah A3 contributionsEat before goingThe show is truly worth it. Go for the upgrade to guarantee a good spot to sit in. Now for the food I wouldn’t get the buffet ticket as it was not worth it. Barely any variety (4-5 dishes in each section) and the sweets were inedible. Rather I would suggest you eat first then go to the show (it starts at 9pm). Both my husband and I left hungry.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 18, 2023
- Donna FBendigo, Australia17 contributionsFabulous FantaseaWe recently attended this show and absolutely loved it. We weren't sure what to expect but it is just like a theme park with a magnificent buffet dinner before the show and the the opportunity to experience the park prior to the show starting at 9pm. The show itself was amazing and well worth going to see. Would highly recommend it.Visited August 2023Written August 11, 2023
- Reviewer1 contributionExcellentWe have been at Fantasea several times over the years and the food quality has greatly improved, it was delicious the last time we eat in there. The show was amazing, the premises mesmerizing and the people working in it couldn't be friendlier. Fantasea is a MUST if you ever visit Phuket. We brought friends and their families and they were very impressed.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten August 11, 2023
- anthony m6 contributionsFantaseaPros: Amazing atmosphere! The buffet room was out of this world. Food was delicious! Well organised and despite having hundreds and hundreds of people, we exit the venue really quickly. Cheap night out. Cons: not sure about having people line up and pay for to feed baby cub tigers. You have to hand in your phone because NO CAMERAS. But only after they warn you that if they give it to someone else that they’re not responsible for it. However, that process is very carefully done and organised. The show was theatrical but couldn’t follow it really. It’s good to go don’t get me wrong you’ll be amazed at it. It’s something to do while there. I’d give it a 7/10.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 14, 2023
- jameschua03Singapore169 contributionsFantastic and unique cultural theme park of PhuketThis is not my first visit. I'm attracted by their indoor stage performance, big, grand and magical. They performed with animals, pyrotechnic, laser lights etc. Very beautiful and elaborated costume and impressive props. The seat was comfortable but not as spacious as Siam Niramit. Sound system was good. The shortfall was the buffet spread and outdoor activities. The buffet spread was very limited, as if eating economic rice. You will NOT be spoilt with choices and it is not worth it. Siam Niramit is 100% better. Outdoor activities was quite limited. With exception of game booths and mini stage dance, the rest are just souvenir shops and gems shop. Outdoor activities can be covered within an hour, leaving you idle to wait to enter the hall. Recommend to visit Fantasea but don't add-in the buffet dinner.Visited August 2023Written August 14, 2023
- AdventuresOnPlanetSt. Pete Beach, Florida103 contributionsThe price is ALASKA !For what it is, it is too pricey. I am unable to state that it is excellent or bad. If you have young children, it is a positive thing. I like taking photographs. There are many options in the fairly large restaurant, however the food is chilly. Lovely and plentiful personnel. After eating, you must wait until the concert (8U30 doors open), but there is nothing to do in the interim. stores, lots and plenty of stores. The performance is brand-new and consists of a carnival procession; it is a bit monotonous, and the music is the same throughout. To prevent taking photos, you must put your phone in a locker.Visited August 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 5, 2023
- Alan GioroAuckland, New Zealand10 contributionsOverall good, but the elephant...........Watched this show 12 years ago by myself, this time I brought my two kids to see the show as it combines Thai culture and fancy motions in it. We enjoyed it still but one thing: since our civilisation is always moving forward, please consider not to use elephant in the show, people have more and more awareness regarding animal wellbeing specially younger generations. Therefore I hope you can consider not to use elephant in the show, otherwise there'll be less and less international views and may trigger chaos in the future. Please have a look at "War Horse" show, two they can make a fake horse so real, if you can do the same thing to replace the real elephant it can be a big selling point thus to attract more viewers and people like me to revisit.Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 26, 2023
- Jenni25 contributionsWould recommend but definitely some improvements could be made!Pros: overall we enjoyed the show although we didn’t follow the storyline very well. Staff were friendly and were happy for us to feed and interact with the elephants that were used for rides outside the theatre. The buffet was good and well organised - plenty of variety. Cons: People are given 40 mins to get into the theatre and be seated before the show however we had a very large group who came in 15-20 mins after the show had started. They were loud, talking and standing up in front of us trying to find their seats. We found this extremely rude and disrespectful to those who arrived on time and who were trying to watch the show. Our recommendation would be that those who arrive after the show has started should be seated at the back or need to wait until a break in the show. Also agree with other reviews re: the opportunity to have a photo with the baby tigers - we found this unsettling and purely a money making opportunity and the treatment of the tigers by the handlers did not seem overly positive.Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten September 26, 2023

Extremely boring unless you are a fan of Thai dancing. 5 minutes of trained elephants at the end is cool but not worth 3 hrs of your time and admission fees. Do not believe any comparisons with Cirque Du Soleil, this is at best a 3-rd grade school performance. Poorly organized (they force you to give up mobile phones and there are huge lines as 2000 guests deposit and retrieve their phones before and after the show), the personnel is rude, the whole area around the show looks nice but is basically a bunch of stores (similar to the Main Street in Disney parks).

Pick up by mini bus is the most convenient option and takes you the short distance to Kampala. Well organised present your voucher on arrival for tickets and enter the tunnel and into a large fairground atmosphere. Buffet dining with 2 options available or dine at the restaurant or dine before you go. A short display of contemporary dance and a cultural dance are performed on an outside stage, elephant rides are available. Plenty of games to win prizes for kids or a sweetheart. Lots of gift shops from low to very high-end. Lots of photo opportunities outside. Show starts at 9.00 pm but need to be seated beforehand, phones and cameras are not allowed inside and are collected and stored securely. The show is a mix of theatre, culture, comedy and acrobatics with numerous animals taking part(chickens, goats, doves, tiger and lots of elephants). The stage includes the aisles around and above the audience so there is plenty of action. Entertaining and recommended for families with children.

The place is so beautifully done that you will remember it a lifetime. Not a big area to see but very well done.
The buffet was a let down but the interiors of the hall are excellent. I would have surely skipped the buffet if I would have know the quality of food was so bad. Also there are other restaurants with better food options inside the compound.
Everything here is expensive, probably the commission that these guys are charging there vendors id too high, so we skipped shopping.
In all it was a good experience as the show was superb. I will surely recommend the show if you have the budget as the tickets are expensive but well worth the price.

Oh my gosh. I actually don’t even know how and where to start. I have been coming to Thailand for many years and like another reviewer on here, never really did the touristy stuff, but this time on a recommendation (believe it or not) we booked tickets for a family of 5.
Booked VIP tickets. Complete waste of money. Simply a more central placed seat.
The buffet…. Omg I have never ever eaten food this bad before. Overcooked, hard, chewy, flavourless options. Doughnuts were like bricks. The only thing that tasted ok was the one food they didn’t have to cook… watermelon. Water is free but other drinks are at an extra cost.
Shops are full of cheap crap at massively overpriced prices.
If you like to queue with hundreds of people in very close proximity, smelling every unwashed armpit in the place, I would defo recommend this for you. The smells were actually horrendous and wretch worthy.
We was told to hand our phones in before the show. In hindsight, I could have easily kept my phone on me as nobody checks after this process.
The show itself was sooooooooo bad. I will leave it at that. The costumes looked great and some Thai dancing was nice to see but other than that SHOCKINGLY BAD.
Then when the show finishes, everybody rushes to get their phones back and the queues and smells start all over again.
Honestly… take my advice, spend the money on an island trip or water park, you really are not missing anything here.

You encourage animal abuse by going there and paying the overpriced tickets. I should have read more about this show before booking. Elephants, tigers and other animals are kept here and used for the entertainment of humans. The venue is a total disaster. Don’t waste your time and money but more important do not support animal abuse.

Enjoyed the show overall, however we got a bit lost in the story, despite having read the synopsis in advance. Interesting mix of traditional Thai, modern illusions, acrobatics and performing animals. Spend some time before the show looking at the various shops and artisans but the items on offer are bit over priced for Thailand.

A show for young and old....couples, newlyweds, families and grandparents....even the single people!
This show had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Never a dull moment!
Prepare to be amazed by one of the best shows on Earth. Also one of the few shows that features trained chickens in their show.....
It is larger than life and is a mix between theater, the Circus and a cabaret show with a hint of a grandpa's storytelling.
Absolutely no camera equipment is allowed inside! Heavy fines are handed out on the spot and your stuff will get taken by security.

The place itself is very magical almost disney like. At first we were very impressed. However after strolling further into the park, we noticed they were offering elephant rides which totally upset us. This hurts the elephants and causes them great stress! Nevertheless the we decided to go see the show. The production is poorly produced, scenes are way too long and hard to follow. It appears there is no storyline. When they started using animals for useless /lack of entertainment ie chickens running across the stage, we had to leave. The show advertising pumps the public for an excellent show but it was extremely disappointing. It is costly and really not worth it. Spend your money at the elephant sanctuary where you can learn about the elephants and how they get abused on shows like this. Then feed and bath the elephants....a much better educational adventure instead of riding them. Sooooo dissappointed!

We booked the Saturday evening FantaSea show as it was highly promoted and rated well, despite seeming a little pricey versus a full day trip to several islands in Thailand via Speedboat.
We were disappointed to say the least and left the show within 15 minutes.
When we arrived, the park was empty, there was no access to food or drink stalls, all of the rides we saw were closed and the only entertainment was a small games room that you had to pay extra for.
All of the market stalls were shut down and it was a very baron feeling given the size of the park and the extravagant feel of the entrance.
We completely appreciate the Thailand culture and history but were surprised by the way the animals were used in the show. Within 5 minutes of the show opening, multiple of the animals were excreting all over the stage which did not seem right. After visiting an elephant sanctuary and learning that the elephants eat for 16-18 hours per day and are very smart as to when they go to the toilet etc this was a surprise to see.
We’d also guess the reason they confiscate your phones is to stop you filming the show rather than pyrotechnics and illusions since they’re happy to set off explosions right in-front of the animals faces.
We certainly wouldn’t revisit here or recommend.
The staff did not even ask why were leaving early, this would be the first thing we’d expect given the price we paid for the experience!
We were happy to pay a separate transfer fee to get out early.

Phuket FantaSea was truly an unforgettable magical experience!
Try to reach early so that you can hang around the park. As you enter, there is a fun carnival area where you can play games and lots of other activities. There is also a small night zoo. The place is just beautiful like a dreamland.
Catch a lavish dinner at Golden Kinneri or you can go for their seafood buffet. The buffet hall is huge! Like really ginormous!!! There are plenty of dining options. The food is decent. Let's say edible. There's also a bar where you can purchase a drink or two.
Just outside the auditorium you can take some really grand photos or feed the elephants or take an elephant ride. There are also stalls where you can get your photo clicked with a Tiger Cub. However, I would rather recommend doing that at the Tiger Kingdom or Safari World if you're travelling to Bangkok as well.
We had booked the Golden Seats for the Vegas Style Fantasea show which gave us the best view.
The show simply takes your breath away. The performances are so great and it really transcends you to another level altogether.
Overall, it is a great experience for kids and adults alike.
Had a great evening and would definitely recommend this experience to everyone who's visiting Phuket!

Help! Im confused with the layout. I know photography is not permitted in the theatre but can I take pictures outside the palace of elephants. Also how busy is it if I were to set up a small tripod to take pics outside. Gotta get them pics for the instagram;)

It is group travel in a mini bus. They pick up from other hotels close to yours and drop you home again after the show. The pick up times were set. It was very convenient.

It depends. In Greece we need 200€ for two persons. In hotel we stayed we found them 120€ for two people. As for the show we enjoyed it but we thought that it could have been more hours.

Why are there so many non-Asians on here complaining about animal abuse ? Elephants have been trained and used for hundreds of years in this part of Asia - it is part of the culture.
If you don’t like the culture you should stay away rather than be so rude.

I never complained about animal abuse at all and I’m Scottish,, how weird is this comment?! If anything the elephants looked calmer here than most places we visited.. can’t please everyone everywhere you visit!
Hi, I am bringing my one year old daughter to Phuket on this month. I am planning to take her to Fantasea park and James bond island trip in long boat. Will they (Fantasea park management) allow one year old baby inside Fantasea park?. and also Can my daughter accompany me for the James bond island trip?

You can take her but sit beside the exit doors cos if she cried they will come and ask u to go back seats to avoid annoying the audience by the crying of the baby.i dont know how much the baby is interested in elephants and colors.if she likes swimming she will enjoy her time in james bond island but note that there are in and out from the speed boat till u reach j bond.i mean u will pass in a cave, and get into a canoe,i dont know how much will be cooperative.

Fantasea are crap at responding to queries via email - I asked about accessibility seating at the theatre on Wednesday, it's Friday and still no response from them. I understand the show seats are numbered, so what happens if you have a wheelchair person with you? Also are there accessibility options for the bus transfer you pay in the ticket - my wheelchair person won't be able to step up in a van but they can sit in the front seat of a car.

Our ride to the location was in a van that did not have wheel chair capability, but I recall the park itself does. Our seats at the show were mid level. We took stairs. But I do recall an elevator.
Frankly, the show is not good and I can think of multiple activities to use our money on that would be better than that. Save your $ and your concerns.
