The area
Neighborhood: Anping District/ Annan District
Anping District is the area first developed in Taiwan. It is also the key to Taiwan’s involvement in the international community. The two famous historic monuments, Anping Fort (a.k.a. Fort Zeelandia) and Eternal Golden Castle leave behind them the traces of international trade made by various countries. Another historic monument that stands the test of time is Tree House, in which beautiful stories were created along with the running water in the canal in the course of history. The National Museum of Taiwan History in the form of green building stands in Annan District. Next to the coastal Cihcao Dajhong Temple is the amazingly gorgeous green tunnel formed by mangroves. Moving slowly in the river course on a pipe raft, you will be greeted by hermit crabs and mudskippers. The sunlight glitters in the woods. This will be like a tranquil journey in the no-man Amazon. What comes next is Luermen River estuary. People can enjoy the beautiful sunset in the Natural Defence of the Capital and also visit the one and only temple which has two barefooted door gods of foreign descent, guarding General Jheng Chengkong, making the trip to Tainan full of stories and mysteries.

    Fried goodness
We popped into this restaurant in the afternoon for a quick snack. It was a hot day and we enjoyed this place was well air-conditioned. There is a small but useful area of tables where you can sit down and eat. We ordered the shrimp rolls and the shrimp cakes. I thought both are really good but I enjoyed the shrimp rolls best. There was this yellow mustard that they put on the shrimp rolls that you really should taste. Everything we had there was good and had fantastic flavor. We also tried the hibiscus tea which was good although nothing to write home about. Maybe my expectations were a little high on that as I love both hibiscus and iced tea. If you're in Tainan though you do have to try the shrimp rolls as they were worth the effort of waiting in a long line of a hot day.

    definitely Tasty food ....
they serve a range of food, but mostly is chinese dishes kind of food... but I am sure most people can accept the dishes without any issue as all is cooked, and mostly fried or boiled... the shrimp rolls is the "favourite" of course we order some as well.. yes is tasty .. and deserve a try even though if you are a season chinese food eater.. we also ordered pork chop, noodle, some dumpling ... and actually they too are tasty not just the shrimp roll..... so if you are nearby .. try .. they have few outlets actually along anping area... you can always ask local where is the nearest one... need not to go HQ...

    平價美食翻桌率高
    假日人潮超可怕,空間動線算不錯,好吃有冷氣吹翻桌率也很高,一下子就能等到座位,以平價美食來說,還算OK。

Chou’s Shrimp Rolls served up some delicious shrimp cakes and various fried seafood. Their shrimp ball soup was tasty and was a nice way to offset the greasiness of everything else on their menu.
