This is well worth a visit
It’s a lovely church and to go and see the resting place of Winston Churchill was amazing.
Also the rest of his family are also buried there.
Parking at the church is very limited so would recommend parking on the main road and walk up.

Easy to find but try not to take your car up to the church. It is a residential area with a narrow access so be mindful of the folk who live there. Churchills’s grave is always well tended and Blenheim Palace is close by. Remember to use Gift Aid when booking and the nearby Heythrop Hall offers a 10% discount but again tell them you want to Gift Aid as the staff there didn’t remind me!

We called in at the church after visiting Blenheim Palace. There are many graves of the Marlborough family, including Winston Churchill’s.
The highlight for me was the stained glass window in the church that was installed in 2015 commemorating 50 years since Churchill died. The detail and colour of the window is amazing and is definitely worth a visit to see.

Beautiful little church, I visited after a trip to Blenheim to complete my Winston full circle and what a humble end for one of our greatest Britons. Churchyard is well maintained and one of the few churches open without a soul in sight. Some lovely little keepsakes available inside as well for a reasonable price.

After a day spent at Belenheim Palace we decided to walk through the palace grounds to Baldon to visit this church to see Sir Winston Churchill's grave, having seen his birth place in the palace. The walk took less than 20 minutes, and given the lack of parking in the village this is probably a good option if you are able to walk. The graveyard was peaceful and Churchill's grave was easy to find. It was interesting to see other members of the Churchill family also laid to rest there. We sadly didn't have time to go inside the church but there was a sign for a Churchill exhibition that may be interesting for those visiting. Well worth a visit.

We very much wanted to visit Winston Churchill’s grave. We were surprised and moved to see the family tombs. A pretty churchyard in a lovely location.
Our advice would be to park a little way from the church and walk to it. Bladon is very picturesque but parking in that area is limited.

No visit to Blenheim Palace is complete without a visit to the family grave of the Churchill’s.
Well kept plot in this quiet corner of the county. No wonder these chose St Martin’s as their final resting place.

Our private tour for just the two of us to the Cotswolds was inspirational. After finally getting out of London, the countryside opened up and we were in it. Just exactly what you would expect from the English countryside and we had the distinct privilege of visiting St. Martin’s Church where Sir Winston Churchill is buried. After the largest state funeral in English history to that time, he was buried with no pomp or circumstance in a private family service. A simple grave for a great man. As he wanted with his family. As we approached this out of the way parish church, there was a big black hurse that looked like a stretch London black cab and six gentlemen in formal attire, with a coffin draped in the British Flag preparing for a funeral that day. He must have been a veteran. No one else around. We demurred as others might not have from taking photos and quietly visited Churchill’s grave to pay our respects. A sombering experience.

A beautiful village church in a tiny village. We went to visit Churchill's grave, and saw several others from the family. The area around the church is tiny, so parking is difficult. The church is lovely and we spent some time studying the intricate detail of the newish Churchill stained glass window - a real work of art. Definitely worth the short distance from Blenheim Palace to visit this location.

Well, this is absolutely the most serene and tranquil place, and the resting place of the man who saved Europe (please note this people who wish to stay). He was for a European Super State but with the United Kingdom outside (read Martin Gilbert's excellent biography).

All people who value freedom and that that we hold dear should visit this place, pause and pray, and definitely say thank you!
