I would recommend to visit in the morning as the museum and guided tours are not open all day even-though it does indicate that it is open until 19:30. We loved it but if we had been able to make the complete visit because the times indicated we would have preferred it.

I loved this church. So beautiful and interesting. Our guide was Miguel, who gave us a wonderful tour of the church, cloister and little museum. And the village is one of the prettiest I have ever seen in spectacular countryside. Not to be missed

the church and, specially, the museum deserve a visit not only to understand the origins of the Castille kingdom, but also to have the opportunity to appreciate a great middle age collection. Additionally, the Covarrubias village keeps a middleage flavour that you will enjoy.

Also, storks on the roof nesting at this time of year as in many parts of the area. We were impressed by the richly ornamemted gold leafed altar backs as in so many of the churches in the area testament to the travels to South America in the 16th century.
