It’s a great stop as you get to see how they mined the borax from the valley and see the way they transported it the many miles to the railway depots. You also learn how they came up the name for the borax product.
Wonderful to see the 20 mule team wagons and to walk on the historic borax mining location. The borax foundry process description beside the foundry itself was interesting.
I love this spot also. Nice photo opportunity. Love the history of Death Valley. Enjoyed the walk. Nice in winter.
Take a walk and read how tough they did it to extract Borax. Very informational and a easy walk from the carpark. Good picture spot too.
There's a short interpretive trail that explains the history of the Borax Works which was functioned for 5 years in 1880s. This was close to where we stayed, so we decided to visit it.
