About
Oio Vivo - is one of the largest olive groves on the south of the Istrian peninsula. We produce extra virgin olive oil since 2012. The quality of our extra virgin olive oils has been recognized on international competition from New York to Tokyo, where the oils have been awarded with golden medals, which we are very proud of. We offer tasting and walking tours trough our olive grove of istrian indigenous olive varieties. We'll talk about the harvest, the importance of the climate conditions, about oil production during antiquity and why Istria is still one of the world best regions for the EVOO. Olive oil is a natural product - the juice squeezed from the fruit of indigenous varieties of young, fresh olives from pure varietal olive groves, with all the valuable biological and nutritional ingredients. Scientific analysis confirms what is a clear fact in nature; top quality extra virgin olive oil supports, strengthens and celebrates the life with us!

This is a place I could spend a lot of time, what a delight, now we have found it I feel we will go back regularly. The choice of oils is great and, we felt they were well priced. The bar selection was incredible but we did not come and the right time to test that part. It was a really nice place and the guy who served us was so professional and friendly. A must visit in Zagreb!

Had a wonderful wee tour and tasting experience courtesy of the amazing Sanja. Incredibly knowledgeable, brimming with enthusiasm and pride for their amazing product but most of all so incredibly friendly.
Nothing was too much bother, special gluten free tasting bites were laid on for us. It was fascinating to learn about the differences between the oils, then be able to taste that difference on the palate.
Everyone was so friendly and courteous, with special mention to Sanja who really went above and beyond to make our visit extra special.
Very much hoping to return when next we find ourselves in Istria.

We visited because we did a tasting class in Pula at the Olive Oil Museum.
Oio Vivo has top notch olive oil and a store staffed with a woman who is clearly miserable in her job and did her best to display some of the worst behavior I’ve witnessed in a retail setting in at least 20 years.
She made it clear we were not welcome and that she was being inconvenienced by helping us. Then she answered her mobile phone and started yelling at the person who called her to never call her at work.
She refused, as is custom, to provide samples for both me and my wife, so we had to share. She also made it clear she didn’t want us to sample all of the 5 oils and instead very forcefully asked us which type of oil we’d like to try. She explained nothing about the different olives that were used for the different oils, and was visibly relieved when we made a choice, paid and were on our way out.
Grand total of our time in the store was approximately 12 minutes.
We bought 3 bottles, but had Oio Vivo hired staff that cared about customers, we would have bought more.
Instead we spent our money at another top Olive Oil vendor in Vodnjan where the service was spectacular and we bought €945 of products they were selling in their store and had such a good experience we went back for a farm tour and spent another €47.
Oio Vivo has zero understanding that treating customers poorly loses sales. I drive to Croatia every year from Austria and I’ll never set foot in Oio Vivo again or buy their products from anyone. Customers should never be treated as me and my wife were treated.
Not worth visiting unless you enjoy being mistreated by staff.

Dear mr Jarad,
We sincerely ask you to accept our sincerest apologies for the bad experience you had in our store. We are sincerely sorry.
We are creating a new team of employees and it is extremely important to us that everyone who comes to us feels comfortable and beautiful. If you have the opportunity to return to Istria again, come and visit us, you will be our guests, we will take you around the olive grove, offer you the best we have, but the most important thing for us is that you feel beautiful, relaxed and welcome. In the hope that you will accept our apologies and that we will have the opportunity to see each other again,
We send you our best regards,
Oio vivo team,
