Home Cooking at its best
Aug 2019
Another enjoyable visit to Bankfoot Inn this time we took our parents. We were warmly welcomed by Mary who hadnt seen our parents for a long time and then a few of the other locals. We had our evening meal served by a very lovely waitress for which nothing was too much bother. The meal its self was excellent and plentifull. We will return soon thank you

3 generations well catered for..
Jun 2019 • Family
Pulled off A9 and found this by chance .
Warm welcome despite landing mid Saturday afternoon.
All 3 generations well catered for and the food was excellent.
Many thanks to Jill who couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. ..despite just helping out while owners ( brother / sister in law?) away on business
Would certainly recommend - beautiful but cosy restaurant...loved the decor..and will be back on our next trip to Scotland..possibly to stay overnight!

Nice historic pub
Sep 2018 • Couples
Appears to be a locals place, which is usually a good sign.

Selection is a bit limited but covers all the bases in one form or another.

There us a second bar which has a good selection of single malts.

Great home coaoked pub grub!
Oct 2017 • Couples
We stayed here overnight while visiting The Enchanted Forest. The couple who run the place were very welcoming and friendly. We ate in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and all 4 meals were excellent with good portion sizes and quality ingredients (proper sausages no over processed rubbish here). The inn had been renovated to a good standard and is tastefully furnished with a modern touch retaining the tradition feel. We would return and would recommend for good honest comfortable accommodation.

Shameful Sunday Roast
Apr 2017 • Friends
Small portions, over cooked beef, poor service, over priced drink.
Went for sunday roast today disappointing to say the least. Final insult was ordering lime and soda £1.10 for the soda and 45p charge for a dash of lime. The roast was priced at £9.25 if I could have chosen what to pay it would have been £4.25 very poor indeed. Looking at others meals it didn't look any better.

We loved the bar and the locals. Wonderful place to enjoy a cold pint of lager in the sun ifvyou are lucky with the Scottish weather.

Fascinating historic coaching inn
Nov 2016 • Couples
I reviewed our experience of staying here under the hotel section of trip advisor and deemed it excellent. Here it is listed as an attraction so I will comment on this. The Bankfoot Inn is a cosy village inn that began life as an 18th century 'Scottish style' coaching inn. Apparently the main part of the building dates from the 1760s. For this reason it is an attraction of interest. The bar area retains original features and the architecture of the whole building exudes a sense of history. The inn is in a wonderful location between Dunkeld and Perth and hence within very easy travelling distance of many of the glorious walking routes of this beautiful area of Scotland. One feels part of historic Scotland when staying here.

Comfortable well appointed Inn (Terrific Bathroom!)
Oct 2015
We enjoyed this spot for the one night we were there, had a large comfortable bed and well appointed room. Brand new renovated bathroom was a pleasure to use! Only comment, if you are sleeping over the main bar area, highly recommend ear plugs or a noise cancelling device as the rowdiness extends into the evening.
Would recommend, though not readily accessible and requires hauling your own luggage up a narrow curved flight of stairs (fine for us youngsters!)
