    Loved It
We absolutely loved the flower forest and spent a few hours taking in all the lovely views and flowers. This is a great place to relax as it was not busy. The staff where excellent and the lunch was so so good we even drove the next few days afterwards just for the lunch.

    Just lovely
Beautiful, peaceful forest gardens. Very well conceived, constructed, planted and maintained. Many specimens clearly labelled for those interested, and for those who just like to wander there are lots of benches and chairs to rest, and some great viewpoints over to the east coast. Owned and run by Earthworks ceramics, with lots of their distinctive designs throughout. For us this is the best place on the island to spend a tranquil morning.

Lovely setting for a walk among the flora
We were looking for something to do one day and my son discovered the Flower Forest. We went there directly after visiting Earthworks Pottery and discovered that they are owned by the same people. They aren't right near each other. To get to the site, you have to travel roads that can be steep and windy. We got there just as a big tour group was leaving so we let them depart. We did a tour ourselves so we could take as much time as we wanted to stroll the lovely grounds. There are so many different kinds of flowers and bushes and trees from all over the world with markers that tell what each species is and where it's from. We noticed that there were pottery pieces all over the forest that were made by Earthworks. There were also numerous spots that had benches or chairs if you wanted to stop and sit for awhile with many in the shade. It wasn't so big that you felt tired after walking the grounds. It was just lovely and relaxing.

    Tranquility
We enjoyed a leisurely walk in the flower forest. So many beautiful flowers, orchids, and trees. The park is well kept and the staff were friendly. It felt cooler in the tropical forest. First we had visited the Earthworks pottery, about 15 minutes away, to buy pottery to bring home. We appreciated how the pottery was incorporated into the flower forest in the pathways, a sculpture, and some of the signs. You can also buy the same pottery in the gift shop.

    Peaceful hour in beautiful surroundings
We were fortunate to go here when there were few other visitors. We wandered around the garden and did not see or hear anyone. The sounds of the forest were amazing along with the stunning plants. We were told it would be a 35 min walk but we took every path and stopped to take in the views, the sounds and smells. Very reasonably priced and friendly staff. Loved the sinks in the ladies- nice to see earthworks pottery celebrated there.

    Well worth a visit
This is a beautiful walk on well paved trails. Plenty of places to sit and just soak up nature. There is a fabulous cafe with the best coffee I’ve had in Barbados. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely worth a visit

We had a lovely morning at the Flower Forest. Our charming host introduced the visit and spent time explaining the garden inception and history. She spent time answering our questions and identifying the persons after whom the walks are named.
The forest walk was lovely, with fantastic foliage, flowers and fronds at every turn - a photographer's dream. At intervals the plants and trees open up to reveal fabulous views of the surrounding countryside and distant east coast shoreline. Although it was very humid on the day of our visit, the shaded walks provided respite and at the end our our walk the cool cafe was waiting for us.
We ended our visit with some cold beers and a large plate of freshly-made Bajan fishcakes.

Really lovely place to visit in Barbados. The walk through the forest is beautiful with a great variety of tropical flowers and trees. The area is wonderfully maintained by the gardening staff and the ladies in the shop and cafe were very helpful and friendly. A great way to spend a few hours.

We visited in the morning and during our 90 minute stay had the whole place to ourselves. Not all the flowers were at their best, but the overall impression was of beautiful scenery, landscaped to make the most of the natural contours, and a collection of plants and trees put together with vision and foresight.
We were made to feel like the most welcome guests from the moment we arrived, by the gardener who came to say hello and eagerly answered our questions and finally by the lovely ladies in the cafe who’s laughter was so infectious and life affirming.

We hired a car to travel from St Lawrence gap and after the visit we made our way down the east coast back home, seeing many truly splendid beaches on the way. As a real bonus, we had to stop suddenly to watch a Monkey saunter across the road in front of us to join its family playing in the trees at the side of the road….Magical

Fabulous experience, not to be missed. We were warmly welcomed and given immediate guidance on where to wander and what to look out for. The path is wide and easy to walk but blends in naturally with the lush, tropical environment. I also took a few little detours on smaller paths, which added to the sense of adventure and discovery! So many gorgeous plants and trees to see, with good labeling so non-gardeners like me can learn a few things, and lots of well-placed benches to sit and drink it all in. I could've spent all day here, for sure, without getting uncomfortably hot or sunburned. There's a lovely restaurant and open-air cafe with a good selection of food and drink, and the people working there were extremely friendly and helpful. Easy parking and clean toilets too, by the way!

A lovely couple of hours exploring the Flower Forest. Lots of stunning plants of all shapes and sizes interspersed with many different birds, the occasional mongoose and even a green monkey!

Amazing to see some of the flowers that are house plants in the UK growing wild.

The cafe was great serving cold drinks and a tasty slice of coconut bread which we enjoyed on the terrace under the watchful eye of a family of Grackles who were keen to hoover up our crumbs! The staff were friendly and happy to chat.

Would highly recommend this location to any nature lover. We will definitely revisit the Flower Forest if we're lucky enough to be back in Barbados one day in the future.

We had a lovely couple of hours exploring the Flower Forest. We coupled this with a trip to Welchman Hall Gulley which is very close.

The Flower Forest is a very beautiful and tranquil place with an easy walk and an ID card to help identify the many stunning plants.

We enjoyed freshly made and very tasty sandwiches in the cafe while watching the birds and a mongoose on the terrace.

A very tranquil spot with an easy to follow map to guide us around the site. The name is a bit of a misnomer since there are many tropical trees but relatively few flowers so a little disappointed. I felt that it was not as good value as Hunte’s gardens which had the same admission price. Very helpful staff.
