Really enjoyed this activity. My legs did ache the next day as on the way there much of the cycling is uphill.

Parts of the track are quite a tough slog up the I clines but worth it to enjoy the faster downhill stretches! Cafe at Manot well stocked and a welcome break at the halfway point! Lovely views along the way too!

Highly recommended. Great experience. Beautiful countryside and a fantastic way to see it. If you visit Charente, you really should have a go on the Confolens Velo Rail.

Best to go when the weather is nice and would recommend at least 4 of you to share the work, parts can be a little tough but then it free wheels quite fast in places and is great fun.

Four of us took a car out and shared the load, wouldn’t have fancied my chances of completing the trip with just two people to pedal! It really was a lovely, and rewarding, way to spend a few hours. Reasonably priced, nice scenery and a little cafe at one end of the line to pick up some well deserved ice creams.
