A great day out, but beware the retail 'opportunities'. We opted for a tour organized by a local hole in the wall agency, ÂŁ75 each including lunch, car, driver and guide. I've done it before but my friends hadn't, so I knew what to expect. That is, the retail stops. We persuaded him to bypass the Facteurs des Tapis, the ceramics factory, and the camels, but we did end up in the Argan oil cooperative. Young men in white coats persuading us to buy the nice but vastly overpriced soaps etc. As a group of three we bought some spices and an ointment which by our reckoning came to Dh600, he reckoned Dh 1,100. It took quite a while to persuade him if you display prices you must actually stick to them. Then there is the trip to the berber house . . . More tips. The trip up the mountain is great, but more retail on the way. We had a very good guide and although his payment was in the price, we gave him a good tip. The climb is not for anyone with any sort of mobility issues, and you should wear good trainers or other rubber soled shoes. The views are amazing. Lunch afterwards was also excellent.

Go to the end and once parked try to find a guide who charges a reasonable price, we paid 200 dirhams, there were 7 of us. Very beautiful circuit the waterfalls are beautiful and very passable although a little sporty at times, for us Back we had lunch in one of the restaurants located by the river, it was delicious and a very good atmosphere with the musicians. Very nice day.

We’ve had just over half a day before our flight as we didn’t want to rush at Airport, so booked a travel who picked us up from our breakfast restaurant, Beldi Fusion Kitchen (one of the best in my experience) then we picked luggage from Hotel. Yassin was our driver who took us to a Berber village where we had learned about medicinal plant. Then we stopped at Setti Fatma where there were many colourful restaurants by the river stream. We didn’t have enough time to hike up to the waterfall but what we’ve seen so far in the village is really impressive. You should keep all day for this trip, keep enough warm clothes as it gets cold if you walk up the mountain.

Tour organized from Marrakech in groups for the day with a guide. We had a good day and discovered another side of Morocco with stops for information on local crafts. This is of course not neutral. The visit to the first waterfall is affordable if you are in good physical condition and equipped. You are well supervised by the guide. The rest is more difficult but we did not venture. A good meal awaited us.

This trip was amazing! It started with our lovely and understanding driver who made the long journey from our hotel to the village more pleasant. With interesting facts about the history and personal associations, our driver was called Saaid and highly recommended. Our tour continued with friendly ladies who showed us the natural processes of their everyday life. We were then led through the hike by another tour guide (Abdel Al Rehman) and with his help, support and guidance, we were able to successfully complete the hike as beginners, where we were able to experience further adventures in the mountains as well as monkeys, residents, etc. A beautiful experience that I can recommend to anyone who is actually able to lead one. That explains the rating!

Challenging hike but worth it - around a 1.5 hrs hike with several stops for photos and rest. It is stunning and a great experience . The climb can be fairly strenuous in a few places . If you have fear of heights than I would not recommend it and advisable to go up with a guide .

We had lunch on one of the many restaurants positioned on the waterfront. The setting is really beautiful and the menu is at 12th. On the food quality side it’s beef (the dishes arrived cold) because it’s a bit factory. But we loved the place! We then took the trail to get to the first waterfall. It is necessary to provide shoes that do not slip because it is necessary to pass in the water and sometimes pass through wet and slippery rocks. But the ride was pleasant at the end of the day.

We were content with the first waterfall, we access it by a very narrow, slippery path, sometimes even going to have to walk in the riverbed. the path is as busy as a pedestrian street on a first day of sale, with the passage for one person, with locals who insult if they consider you are not fast enough.
The waterfall must be very pretty, but impossible to appreciate it as the place was crowded.
Before entering the beginning of the trail we stroll through the streets of the village passing by stairs without guardrail, half demolished and sometimes several meters of void on the side, we cross small very cute souks, with the alabaster sculptors, situations of Berber marriages.
The mountain landscapes are very beautiful.

Whether it's the village or the waterfalls, everything is overexploited and disfigured, it's a shame.

All along the river there are restaurants, cafes, around and in the water you will have endless tables and concrete, nature no longer has its place. Result: visual pollution and water pollution (waste everywhere...)

The climb to the waterfalls is in the same style, concrete tourist trap shops line the edge.

It's a shame because the place could be so beautiful without all the hustle and bustle.

We had a day away from the hectic Marrakech, the drive took about 2hrs with our driver,
Stopped at Argon oil outlet very Google then a pottery .
We're constantly bothered by people trying to sell us various items ,need to be firm and just say no thanks
We had a very good guide to help us climb up to the waterfall ,need strong shoes as it's pretty silly and dangerous.
We had lunch arranged for us then drove home good day out

We did a day trip to Setti Fatma Waterfalls and was the right decision since we liked to hike. We hiked with Khalid as our guide for 1 hour, we got till the waterfalls and was fresh water since Marrakech is warm city. Highly recommended if you like the nature and treks too.

A nice trip out of the city. The scenery is great once you get a bit up into the mountains. Even the tourist stop to see the “typical” Berber village wasn’t bad. A lot of nice views. You don’t need to ride a camel to have fun. The hike up to the waterfall requires scampering across some wet rocks but isn’t really dangerous. Some souvenir stands along the way though. Make sure you stop and see the monkeys. You can get very close to them, just walk off the path up to the base of trees. This trip is a nice day out of the city. We took a private van for just 2 of us and it wasn’t that expensive.

At the end of our tour in Ourika valley were the "waterfalls". The way up there is rather tiring (do not suggest it to older people or visitors with childrens) and quite dangerous as you have to climb on slippery rocks and narrow paths. At the very end ........ a "joke" of waterfall will disappoint you. NOT A MUST

The place is full of rubbish and the road is even more awful than 4 yrs ago. We basically ran from there. As soon as you arrived you get maimed by guides that want to get you to the waterfalls...you say no...they dont accept it..
Also did some photos, it was gard to take photos without taking photos of the rubbish everywhere

We started our visit around 11 am. We found grand taxi in a street Rue Okuba Ben Nafaa. Asked locals for collective taxi to Setti Fatma. We left quite quickly, but most of the time people have to wait then bus is ful. We were travelling only with locals, who were so polite and generous people! Such a surprise after all the sellers in the main square! So, we payed 50 dhs for two peole and our trip took about 1,5 hours. Ofcourse, you can get a yellow taxi for 500 dhs return.
Then we arrived, there were many guides around, but we refused to take one and desided to find waterfalls by ourselfs. There are no signs where to start. So, you go till the end of cafes to the parking on the left. Then there is a route throw the cafes - check were people are going up and down. Its hard to find it, but you can ask locals around. The way up is not hard, but better take good shoes for climbing. There are few ways up, so we took easiest one - from the left. There were many people up in the mountain, so you won’t get lost. We spend around two hours and after came back there were no buses to go back. There were 3 buses to the Ourika (half way) and we took the first one to go down. The driver suggested to do that instead of waiting for direct bus. Then in Ourika we took another bus to Marrakesh and the trip for two costed only 35 dhs to come back.

It was amazing experience for me and my friends to climb the mountain of setti-Fatma to 1650 meters with unbelievable view of rocks, ice and special falls.
We enjoyed drinking tea over the mountain and took many photos there .

We really liked the waterfalls, about which is written enough in the other comments. We rather want to give you an overview how to get there cheaply.
From the Bab er-Rob you can take a minibus for 20 Dirham which will take you to Ourika and another bus or taxi will bring you to Setti Fatma (if payed separately it's 10 Dirham to Ourika and 10 to Setti Fatma). Once you arrive there ignore the men and children offering you guidance. Cross the small river at one of the cafes. You can ask the waiters for the waterfalls (fr. cascades). There's a path leading up to the waterfalls behind the restaurants on the left hand side of the river. When returning we enjoyed cooling our feet in the river at one of the cafes.
For your way back you can either choose a taxi or another minibus. For our return we chose a minibus to Ourika (10 Dirham) and a public bus (autobus,7 Dirham) to Marrakesh. All in all this trip cost us 37 Dirham, whereas it is offered for tourists at about 200 Dirham in Marrakesh. Additionally, you get some local flair as the minibusses are mostly crowded by locals.
