Mt Kazbek, one of the six 5000 meter peaks in the Caucasus mountain ranges is amazingly beautiful. Sitting below the mountain is a picturesque settlement seeing from afar..one can also visit the Gergety village and the Tsminda Sameba Church..

If you really into long walks with cold air and slippery floor . Then go for it. Preferably request a cab from the hotel

Mount Kazbegi is an iconic, dramatic mountain with a snow-covered cone and the Gergeti Trinty Church silhouetted in the foreground. There is excellent walking to be done in the direction of the mountain.

A majestic and beautiful mountain - a stereotypical cone shape towering over a picturesque valley. Very beautiful - best viewed when there is snow around.

We did not climb the mountain but the view alone was breathtaking. We took a private tour from Tbilisi to spend a night at the town just to admire the magnificent view. It was best seen during sunrise on a clear day.

Sweaty upwards climb to the church, then up and up as far as you want to go. We loved it. Breathtaking views, and the mountain is a legend. Not for the unfit.

This mountain is the main attraction of little village of Stepantsminda. During my visit in October the mountain top had snow making spectacular pictures. The surrounding area is very beautiful. Highly recommended during you visit of the Caucasus region.

Although we can definitely be classed as scenery aficionados, we were still overwhelmed by the majestic beauty.

Dear all, I'm planning to go climb the kazbek in early June 2018. So far, I'm alone, but highly motivated! If one of you read this message and is interested to do it together, let me know! Better be in group rather than alone but, if wanted, we can talk about hiring a guide (not an obligation). See you,

Hi there! I'm planning to go hiking 1 or 2 days in that region. Yet I'm not an alpinist, so just some easy to moderate hikes (length max 20km). Maybe not that interesting to you but if so, let me know. I do a lot of photography so I will stop every now and then to shoot some sceneries. Cheers Malvin
