We did the 2d/1n trek to Mount Rinjani with our guide Samid from Em Adventure. Everything was perfect! They picked us up directly at the harbour and drove us to an hotel the night before the trek. At the End of the trek, they drove us to our next destination (which was 3 hours away from Sembalun). The trek itself was amazing! Samid gave us full information and was really attentive and friendly. He told us when to be careful and never put us in any danger. He also cares of the environment without creating any waste. The food was simply amazing! Very healthy and tasty! The porters and our guide took care of everything during the trek. The trek itself is not easy but worth it! We highly recommend Em adventure for they kindness, passion and professionalism!

To start our hike up Mt Rinjani, pick up was from Tetebatu by M the owner of EM Adventure: an enthusiastic, honest and very professional Sembalun local. Having been a guide for many years, he works well to coordinate a good team of guides and porters. His communication leading up to the trek was excellent, answering all my questions. Our guide Sahmad is an asset to EM Adventure, also with very good English and general knowledge of the mountain. Safety was first, followed by our enjoyment of the whole experience including helping the porters where needed. The porters did a sterling job with the carrying up of all food and camping gear. The food they prepared was superb and plenty thereof. M also took us to our next accommodation as well as enabling us to walk to the two waterfalls in Senaru on route. I highly recommend Em Adventure for your Mount Rinjani trekking experience in Lombok.

I cannot recommend Em’s adventures enough. He handled absolutely everything for us on Lombok, from picking us up from the port, food hotel, sorting all the trek, porters and guides and dropping us off afterwards. I am really interested in plants so he stopped to show me cacao (even tasted the fruit-YUM) and cashew nuts. We had some delicious local food at the driver’s family place. Lovely people, super friendly and gave us a really great insight into Lombok. We did the two day one night trek up to the Rinjani crater rim. With a guide and two porters just for the two of us. I just don’t know how the porters do it, their unbelievable! They also cooked all the meals and it was genuinely some of the best food we had in Indonesia! The hike was tough but the view at the top, so worth it. Also good that Em is serious about protecting the mountain and wildlife. Some other companies leave all their trash up the mountain but our porters brought it all back down, which is so important to keep the environment clean. Thanks so much Em!

We booked 2 days 1 night on Mt Rinjani. the trip was very well organized, our guide Dedi was very friendly and motivated. We started the hiking with a friendly atmosphere exchanging life experience. The porters were also very nice, preparing good food and the material was very new and good quality. They set up a nice spot for the night, with an amazing view on the cratere and great curry for diner! Our guide followed our pace, and on the first day we arrived quite early on the cratere rim so we had time to enjoy the view and the sunset. The next morning we climbed to the summit, finding the best path to make it a little more easier and encouraging us even though it was really difficult, and after about 3 hours we reached the summit. We enjoyed the sunrise, for about half an hour we took pictures with Dedi and had a lot of fun. Then the earthquake came, it became suddenly very scary, the rocks were shaking a lot and everyone was shouting and panicking. Our guide Dedi came very quickly to us, we were told to run down so he took my arm and helped me to go all the way down very quickly. Thanks to him we manage to go down in 1 hour to camp base, then we rushed down with the porters, always staying all together. To help us they took our bags so we could go faster. We meet lot of foreigners alone, while our guide always stayed with us even if he seemed scared, he made his best to keep us safe. Afer arriving in Sembalun, the village was cut from the rest of the island, no electricity and lots of injured people. Em was very scared and took us to his place because we didn't know what to do, there was still replicas of the earthquake. We stayed at his place a few hours, trying to figure out what to do, and he brought us food, gave us updates on the situation and we could clean ourselves. After a while he finally found a driver able to take us to our next hotel and helped us to reach the hotel. He was very helpfull and we could not thank him more for his support. When we left he was still very worried about 2 groups still stucked in the cratere, I really hope everyone is safe now. Big thanks to Dedi, Em and the 2 porters
