I cannot think of a different title to describe our three weeks with Mozambique Experience. I mean, we were diving with oceanic black tips, raggies and bull sharks off the coast of Kwazulu-Natal, seeing hippos surfacing at the Wetlands of iSimangaliso, watching wild dogs hunting, lions preying and all the amazing fauna of the Kruger National Park, swimming with whales and dolphins at Praia do Tofo… All these experiences, in one holiday! It took me literally several weeks to process all what I had seen.
We were moving around from one spot to the other with Robert at the driving seat of his 4x4 van. This helped to create a strong group bond with all our fellow travelers and contributed to the experience of exploration and adventure. Robert is very knowledgeable about the fauna both in the land and at sea, which was something particularly important for me as an amateur photographer and naturalist and made the experience all the more immersing.
When we arrived at Praia do Tofo in Mozambique, we met Laçin, the other 50% of Mozambique Experience, who is a great dive guide and the sweetest person.
I am glad to say that we came back home treasuring not only the experiences that we had lived, but also all the new friends that we had made amongst the fellow travelers in the group, Laçin and Robert.

My girlfriend and I did the South Africa-Mozambique route in July 2022 with Robert. And I underline “with Robert” because we have been traveling for months in Asia and Europe (we work remotely) and we have never met such a “guide”.
Robert is Mozambique Experience and Mozambique Experience would not be the same without Robert. You'll probably find out when you've only been with him for a couple of hours. No one lives with such intensity all that these two countries are capable of offering: the fauna, the flora, the food, the people and the permanent sensation of adventure.
Robert could be classified within the fauna of the trip itself, such is the impact it has on the experience you are going to live. Yes, he improvises and organization may not be his strong point, but he more than makes up for it with unparalleled dedication so that you don't miss a thing: not a lion, not a jumping humpback whale and not a safari. And yes, you will also have a good laugh with him and tell your friends about him.
Robert is demanding with all the experiences that you are going to live on this trip, and extremely attentive with the clients. Rest assured that he will do everything in his hands so that you discover everything that these two countries can offer you. You will feel safe, cared for and when the trip ends you will know that every hour you have spent there could not have been squeezed more. If you like fauna, nature, diving (although it is not essential) and discovering new places that, surprisingly, resist without the overcrowding of current tourism, take advantage of it before it's too late.
PS: If you have the option, I highly recommend spending 2-3 of days at the Pridelands camp. Camping inside the Kruger Park itself and hearing the elephants walk through the camp at night was an experience I will never forget.

My trip to Mozambique with Lacin and Robert exceeded everything I was hoping for! They were incredibly helpful with all my questions prior to the trip and adapted the itinerary to our wishes. We went out with them almoat everyday during our stay in Tofo and we managed to see humpback whales, Whalesharks, turtles and sharks! Thanks to them my biggest dream became reality: swimming with humpbacks! I am so thankful to the both of them for this unique experience! They are not only very professional but also amazing people to hang out with! They took well care of us during our entire stay, and we will for sure come back for another trip with them!
I highly recommend Mozambique experience for anyone who is in love with nature and wildlife and wants to travel to this beautiful country! 😊

I have been on quite a few safari tours before and thought I had seen most of it, but Robert organized us an amazing tour that really impressed me. Robert is incredibly knowledgeable about all animals in we saw in Krüger park. We had many breathtaking animal sightings during the 3 days. A huge contribution to that came from Robert’s endless enthusiasm and energy to find animals, continuing to drive long days, never missing an opportunity to speak to other drivers. And especially his deep and passionate understanding of animal behavior, animal tracks and calls of monkeys and birds.
Moreover he is a fun person to be around and able to connect easily. Guaranteed you will have an unforgettable experience touring with him.

I joined Robert with a small group on a 3 days Kruger Trip and I have to say it was the best Sarari I had in my life. I have been to a few places but this was by far the best experience.
Very well organized, reliable, safe and just stunning. Robert is an amazing and very experienced Safari guide and a very entertaining and fun guy. For sure you will have a good time!
We were amazingly lucky and saw the big 5 within just this 3 days plus we had really intense close encounters with lions, wild dogs and a leopard. Many of that encounters we just witnessed, because Robert knew where to go at what time, reading tracks and following bird calls and alarm signals of monkeys and Impalas to find the predators.
Overall an absolutly amazing and unforgettable experience I can recommend to everyone!

This was the trip of my life, when you try not to make expectations just in case...this expectations were beyond anything that I had in mind. Robert is the best guide , he is really patient, open, fun and he is really full of knowledge.
One of the things that I was worry about was safety and trust me when I say this , I never felt safer in my life.
I went with a group of people that I never meet before and we all become very good friends thanks to the vibes that Robert gives to the group.
It's a trip that I would love the repeat one day. I can't thank enough Robert for this experience.

Last week we came back from a 3-week trip to Mozambique and South Africa. The main points were the South African coast, Kruger National Park, and Tofo. From the first moment, we felt comfortable with Robert. He is really enthusiastic about nature, and he told us many interesting facts about animals and plants, making our visit to Kruger Park and Isimangaliso Wetland Park even more interesting. We were diving in South Africa, and despite poor visibility (we weren't lucky with the weather), we enjoyed a lot watching the sand tiger sharks and the oceanic blacktip sharks. At Tofo, we met Lacin; she is very calm and kind, and her sandwiches were delicious. We were very lucky with the humpback whales in Tofo; it was an amazing spectacle. There were so many whales jumping and shaking fins. Tofo's reefs are plenty of life. The organization of the trip was simply great. The distances between places are sometimes long, and roads in Mozambique aren't really good, so Robert prepared a couple of stopovers that we really enjoyed (at St. Lucia, visiting the Isimangaliso Park, and at Chidenguele, where we enjoyed a very relaxing day). Maybe we could have done another stopover between Kruger and Chidenguele, because that was a really long journey. Food in general was really good, and at Shelly Beach, we have some of the best sushi ever.

What best expresses this incredible and wonderful trip is the word "magical". Robert and Lachin have taken it upon themselves to be the most incredible and professional tour guides I have ever met. His passion, enthusiasm, professionalism and way of working make the magic of a trip that forever remains in the thoughts. We have done a combination of diving and photographic safari, and although as in every trip there is a luck factor for the sighting of animals, I can assure you that they seek luck/magic incessantly. In the diving part we have been able to enjoy whales, dolphins, mantas, sharks and all kinds of fauna. In the safari part it was already the explosion of diversity and beauty, we practically enjoyed the vast majority of the park's species, going through the five big ones to the most diverse species of birds that Robert took care that we appreciate in all its splendor.
An intimate journey, where friendships are born in each moment lived, where nature in its most alive and powerful state places you in the world. It only remains to thank Robert for an incredible, wonderful and fantastic trip for the whole family, and of course Lachin, I think the two of you form an incredible pairing.
Also a strong hug to "Africa", with its spark and vitality, as the wise man says to the good listener, few words are needed

One of the best experiences of our life!
Robert and Lacin welcomed us as friends and made us experience unforgettable moments. They were always attentive to our needs and adapted the activities to our requests.
My wife and I traveled with Mozambique Experience to Kruger Park, Chidenguele, Tofo and Vilanculos.
Every day was crazy. The dives in Tofo Bay were the best we ever did in our life: it was August and the sea was full of life, with humpback whales around us every day! And also outside the sea, we did so many amazing activities and discovered the real Mozambique.
It was wonderful to find ourselves with a group of people who share our passion for nature: Robert has incredible energy and positivity that he transmits to the whole group.
We will try to return to repeat this experience.

The Mozambique Experience is a must-do experience! Both South Africa and Mozambique are fascinating countries, with beautiful nature, amazing on earth and ocean safaris as well as great sceneries. Diving was also amazing. In particular, the sound that whales produced underwater was the most stunning & amazing feeling ever.
Both our guides Robert (who was with us throughout the entire 3 weeks trip, between July and August) and Lachin (who joined us during the second part of the trip and for the dives) were very passionate about their job and knowledgeable; they kept us entertained and helped create a great group synergy. Thanks to them, we can all now treasure some great memories. The whole trip was very well organized and safe (considering also the difficulties arising from the current covid-19 global situation and all the entailed restrictions).
To sum it up, highly recommended and one of the best trips I have ever had!

When is the best time to visit Mozambique? I would like to do some diving and combine a couple of days of safari.

Hi there, thank you so much for your question. There is not really a bad time to come and visit Mozambique. Scuba diving is good all year around, with warmer waters between December and May, and cooler temperatures from June until November (Humpback Whale season). On land, animals congregate closer to water around the hotter months, when water is scarce, but chances of seeing them are high all year around. If possible, I would not come around Christmas and Easter time, as are the busiest months of the year.
