It’s by far one of the best wine tasting experiences I’ve ever had!! When we arrived in the winery the people welcomed us in a very warm and friendly way. They explained to us the traditional history of the winery and gave detailed information about the wines we tasted. All wines surprised us with their exceptional aromas and taste, while “Ensticto” and “Emilia” were the ones that we loved most!! We also had a tour on the equipment which is used in the wine production. The quality of the wine and the hospitality of the people made our experience unique!
Our next visit will be arranged as soon as we finish the wines we bought!!

Highly recommended!!

The wines from Silva winery are amazing. From white wines to red wines, you can taste the soil, the sun, and the art of wine making. Wow.

The wine maker puts lots of thoughts into the blend. A true marriage of the local Cretan grapes and blends of international grapes. A brilliant way to introduce people to understand Cretan wines. They are making incredible wines by international standards.

Make yourself available to taste the wines. Extremely small production of each blend. (7K to 5K bottles annual production per blend. Really tiny if you know a bit of wine making.)

We were hosted by the wine maker's daughter who speaks excellent English. Her mom is the wine maker. We only saw her in and out since it's the harvest time. Very busy time of the year.

We have a real hard time deciding which wines to bring back. Each wine is superb. For the quality of wine and the ability to stay in cellar, the price is a real bargain.

This is a small family r5un concern not more than 25 years old producing several different products. We were treated to a demonstration of the wine making process followed by an "ample" tasting experience which only encouraged us to make several purchases of this extremely good product.

Having tasted wines in many countries, I can honestly say this was one of the pleasant surprises, with world class red wines at unbelievable prices. Our host, whose mother is the winemaker, spoke clear English and conveyed the passion of this family business begun just ten years ago. The blends of local with international grapes makes for some outstanding assemblage of wine reminiscent of the Verona region in Italy, but with a wholly different process. Highly recommended.

We visited the winery on a recommendation from Australian friends who had been. The family could not have been more welcoming. We loved the wines and story about their mother starting the business. Bought a few bottles to take home. Thanks for a great visit!

In the small village of Siva, twenty kilometers north of Herakleion, you will find the Daskalaki winery. A very warm welcome by the third and fourth female generation let us taste the very good white and red wines from partly original cretan grape varieties as Vidiano, Kotsifali, Plyto and Liatiko. I like the white wines most, but for red wine lovers there are great wines.

A small, family-run winery where we had the chance to taste and buy some excellent white and red wines. The owner and oenologist was there to explain her philosophy and we had a very pleasant chat about the winery's future plans. If you are into wine, this is highly recommended.

We stopped at the winery quite spontaneously. The team there was quite busy because of the harvest time starting, but they took the time to welcome us. We did a testing of 6 wines, we got nice cheese to go with. We bought few bottles. Overall nice!
