Provotas Beach is located on the South side of the Island, only a short drive from Adamas, but get there early if you want a parking space and/or hire a beach umbrella and sunbed as quite a few are reserved for the hotel. It’s not a very big beach but big enough for about 100 beds and space for people to place their towels, also spaces between the rocks. It would be an ideal beach to visit on a windy day as the beach is in a bay that affords it some protection. It is a beautiful calm beach with soft sand and a gradual slope into the shallow clear water. This would be a great beach for small children as there are no waves and the waters stay shallow for a fair way out. There are beach bars and a restaurant nearby for drinks and food. The chairs and umbrellas were about 14 euros to hire and the Restaurant staff serve this part of the beach also. It was a lovely place to spend the day and have a swim and soak up the sun.

I visited Milos this summer - truly lovely island! I wish I could have spent another day on this beach but wanted to visit others during our short stay. It's a must for beach lovers. All sand, in and out of the water, very clean and organized. Wide, long beach with calm waters. Gorgeous view of the cove. Chairs and umbrellas for about 14 euros. Restaurant staff serve this part of the beach and do stop by Enea Mousses restaurant at the top to eat - it's amazing. Will review separately.

Lovely calm beach with crystal clear waters and soft sand. We got chairs and an umbrella right below Thallassa restaurant. Really lovely day with softest sand we found on Milos. This would be a great beach for small children as there are no waves and it gradually gets deep.

Agios Sostis is a gorgeous, secluded beach in south Milo. Shallow waters, pink sand and an amazing view. It's a continuation of Provatas but much better.
Almost a private beach in early June
Not organized.
No facilities but a restaurant at the edge of the cliff.
Trip boat to Kleftiko start from here.

Great beach. Short but quiet if you come after September. Clear waters, great for snorkelling. Kid friendly. Hardly any waves. Good access especially if you are at the restaurant or rooms nearby.

Highly recommend to all. It's also near a bus stop if you don't have a car.

Fantastic sand and the water is quite shallow so it makes a perfet destination for families with children that parents want to relax.

Some of it is organized, but there's plenty of room down the beach as well as small coves, if you want to do your own thing.

The beach at Provatas has soft sand and a gentle slope. The shallower water means that the water is a little warmer. It is certainly worth visiting if you are beach-hopping.
