This orthodox church of the Protection of the Holy Virgin in Równia used to belong to Greek-catholic community, but after WWII stood abandoned, and in 1969 roman catholic church community took it over, now it's a branch church for Ustianowa parish of that rite. Somewhat hidden from todays village, with short and very narrow drive leading to it. But it used to be in the centre of pre-WWII village, which has been destroyed during Polish-Ukrainian struggle after the war. Very dark, almost black, it stands out from the rest of tserkvas (orthodox churches) in area not only with the colour, but also with it's shape, as it is Bojko type of tserkva, as oppose to Łemko type, which can be found much more widely, mainly in western parts of Bieszczady and Beskid Niski mountain groups. Church was closed when we visited, with no information on how or where we could hire the keys to it, but as we heard, its interior is quite modern, with no iconoctasis or any other items suggesting its original owners.
