Wow is all I can say. Uganda was magical thanks to F&M and our guide, Francis. We decided on an 11 day tour across Uganda. We were SO impressed with Francis’s knowledge of Uganda’s culture , topography and animal life. He was safe, funny, and a great companion on our trip. We loved learning more than just the basics but really digging into the culture and the people.

Highlights:
1.) obviously the gorillas and highly recommend Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge (magical)

2.) chimpanzee trek was so cool! Highly recommend Papaya (location and extremely nice, best food on trip).

3.) boat safaris on the Nile and channels. Was a unique perspective on animal life and was just super cool to be on the water.

Overall we loved every single thing about this trip. We think Francis, our guide, was really important to the Experience we had in Uganda. He was very popular amongst all of the other guides, hotel, and other people everywhere we went and he was funny and quirky, which we loved.

The other thing we really loved about booking with F&M is how communicative they were in planning. They had very detailed agendas, provided great recommendations on lodging and activities and always responded to our requests very quickly. The payment process was easy and efficient and they were there for us every step of the way.

If you’re looking for a great experience in Uganda, these folks will sort you out. Thanks again Francis and F&M!

I did a 9 day safari that included whitewater rafting, gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, and multiple game drives and boat cruises. It was fantastic! Moses was very helpful and accommodating while planning even though it was a very last minute trip. He offered suggestions for first night accommodations and was very prompt in his replies.

When I arrived at the airport, Faruk was there to meet me! Throughout the trip, he made sure I was well taken care of and had everything I needed. He was very knowledgeable and had the answer to all of my questions. He’s also just a great guy, and as a solo female traveler, it was so nice to have someone I now consider a friend to guide me along my journey!

F&M did a great job and I would not hesitate to use them again for any future trips!

My boyfriend had planned a short trip to Uganda's Murchison national park safari including the food and accommodation with Mr Faruk being the Host/guide.Well it was my first ever safari trip and I had a blast.Mr Faruk was exceptional.
He sure was knowledgeable humble accommodating and most importantly an amazing human being, with whom I wouldn't think twice to go for a trip again either alone or with a huge group.
The safari was amazing, beautiful and exactly the way I have always wanted to see animals without disturbing them.Amongst beautiful Animal population we as well saw many different birds.

A boat trip over the lake Victoria was beautiful and many Hippos, elephants,Crocs were seen resting.I was overwhelmed even if it was a very short trip.
My recommendation is to be respectful and punctual to the Guide's cues and arrangements to get the best out of the safari.
We also visited rhinos breeding park and had a close view of three adult rhinos grazing without enclosures which was equally amazing too.

Farukh and Moses are a great safari company based out of Uganda with a focus on hospitality! Farukh was not only an excellent safari guide, but also has a great vision for his business and environment conservation. Moses was very responsive and patient and helped us replan our trip several times due to covid. We trusted them with a 13-day safari trip in Uganda and Kenya (Jiwa, Murchison Falls, Kiwali Chimpanzee tracking, Queen Elizabeth park, Bwindi Gorilla Trekking and Masai Mara).

One area of opportunity as they grow and bring in other partners/freelancers is to ensure the level of customer service is maintained and they also maintain overall accountability.

Finally, the Gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a life changing experience. But it is not for everyone - as the trekking can be very intense depending on the location of the gorilla family. It was one of the most intense/steep hikes we've ever done and we barely survived. Something that is not well understood by many before making the trip.

We did a three day Safari to Murchison Falls NP and had an awesome time with Faruk. Appart from the huge variety of animals we saw, the time spent with Faruk was a great pleasure. He loves what he does and this joy is transmitted to the tourists. Moreover, I felt very safe the whole time because Faruk seems very competent and knows what he is doing.

I could easily ask Moses any questions about the tour and he tried to get back to me as soon as possible. However, he should've advised me not to wear anything in bright colors on my gorilla trek. The information might be there on the website already but I didn't think about that before so I didn't check it. The driver Faruk was the best. He traveled a long way from Kampala to pick me up in Kigali and also had to drive back to Kampala at the end of the trip. He was knowledgeable and had everything I needed ready for me including the gaiters to cover my slightly bright colored shoes and protect myself from red ants. The stay at Agandi Eco Lodge was awesome. It was a clean, comfortable and eco-friendly, though they didn't have a hairdryer. Seeing precious creatures like those mountain gorillas in Bwindi was one of the most memorable experiences! This tour company was trustworthy and based on my experience, it was safe for a solo female traveler.

It was an amazing trip, which Faruk designed exactly for us. In 6 days we visited Fort Portal, Queen Elisabeth NP, Lake Bunyonyi, Lake Mburo. Faruk really exceeded our expectations. He was friendly, very profesional and knowledgeable. He was on time and activities that he planned were really scheduled, so we didn t need to wait for anything/ anyone.

He is really experienced safari guide and he could spotted and showed us animals which we couldn t notice, for example lions hidden in a bush/ tree. Thanks to him we saw a lot of hippos, zebras, buffalos, giraffes, elephatbts, antilopes...
Thank you very much for this exceptinal experience. I highly recomend to use this company.

In 2018, one of my friends recommended F&M Safaris for Gorilla trekking trip. During the trip, I met Faruk, one of the best guides I have ever met.
In May 2022, I contacted Faruk again to see if he can arrange a short safari trip. Even though the request was made at the last minute, he accommodated my request.
We made a trip to Murchison National Park & Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
It was an amazing safari. Very informative. In the 3 days spent in the national park & sanctuary, we very lucky to see the 'big 5'.
The accommodations chosen by Faruk was far beyond our expectations. Being a vegetarian is not an easy task in Uganda, however, this challenge was also taken care of by Faruk!

I was in Kigali for a work conference and a few of my colleagues and I wanted to add on a 1-day gorilla trek. I reached out to Moses at F&M Adventure Safaris to get a quote, which was extremely reasonable for a group of four, so we decided to go with this tour. From the beginning, Moses was helpful and responsive. On the day of the tour, our driver Innocence arrived early to our hotel and was an excellent driver. I appreciated his positive energy so early in the morning! Once at the park, Innocence encouraged us to get coffee and snacks while he took care of the paperwork for us to begin the trek, which was nice. The trek was led by a guide and there were about 8 people in our group (from other tour operators) - it was an incredible and unforgettable experience. When we were done, Innocence drove us back to the hotel. Highly recommend F&M Adventure Safaris!

My family and I used F&M Adventure Safaris for a two day Gorilla trek (Kigali to Uganda) in the Ugandan Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The trip was a once in a lifetime experience and I highly recommend it and the company. We were staying in Rwanda and were picked up on day one by our driver, Chance. Chance was absolutely fantastic during our time with him. He was knowledgeable about Rwandan and Ugandan culture and very accommodating during our drive. He was polite, funny and tolerant of our needs! He was also a huge help with the border crossing and visas from Rwanda to Uganda and back. I dropped my phone into an approximately 30 foot deep latrine at the entrance of the national park and Chance made efforts (along with the park rangers!) to try and get it back for me - ultimately, unsuccessful but I really appreciated the effort. The trek itself was fantastic, we were able to see many gorillas and the guides/trackers were very knowledgeable and helpful in the steep terrain. Note - when they say the forest is impenetrable, they mean it. The guides and trackers utilize machetes to help clear your path through the forest, to the gorillas but it is still rough terrain! If you are planning a trip to Africa, I highly recommend F&M Adventures!
