About five minutes driving from Tripolis, and 45 minutes cycling and very close to the exit of the Motorway towards Vytina and next to the Archaelogical Site of Ancient Mantineia is this interesting temple of Agia Foteini! The interesting of this temple is that it combines arquitectural styles from the Ancient Greek, Egyptian and Byzantine world!

Whether you like it or not you will remember it for the rest of your life! Excellent location in the heart of ancient Mantineia, built by the architect mr. Papatheodorou who had a vision to join ancient greek elements with orthodox traditional architecture. If you are lucky enough you will be able to see the fascinating interior too.

On the way to or from Tripoli there is plenty to see and Agia Foteini is a must see and not too far off the beaten track.

I had seen this church in 2001, and it had been in my mind to re-visit it since then! It's definitely worth a drive if you are around the Peloponnese. It beautifully combines several religious elements, and the result is unique.

Very cool and unusual church. I've been twice, both times it's been open, just need to try the door. Take time reviewing the icons within, very interesting and unique for Orthodox Church.

This is a very strange looking church but also very interesting and unique. There are beautiful mosaics on the floor and wonderful paintings on the walls and ceiling. It is made of different types of stone. There are a couple of narrow passage ways that lead back to the main section of the church. Well worth a visit.

Worth a visit to see how very strange the architecture is. You have to see it to understand why. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

This arresting building catches the eye as you drive along the road to Mantineia. It is an amalgam of various styles from the Byzantine to the Aztec. Certainly worth a look if you have the time and enjoy architecture taken to one end of the scale :). There is nothing ancient about it.
