Very eye catching church whilst driving past and seeing an ancient relic sign board. Still don't know what is ancient about it, but I've read it could have been a temple. Nethertheless, the church has a unique ambience and features worth a quick visit.

I really loved this chyrch. Seem like an old temple but it was constructed in 1970. The combination of byzantine elements and rythms from ancient Greece is extraordinary. In the interior of the temple you can admire the mosaics of Perseus, Papadiamantis and others. This...More

Stopped by here yesterday and the church was open and the garden been attended to. Very impressive and a nice way to spend a few minutes walking around. Inside the church, renovations had been completed and couldn't help but take photos.

I had hoped to get entry to the building, unfortunately nobody was around and it was locked. I did enjoy the exterior, as it's quite different. Disappointing that way, but not uncommon on our travels, either.

There are no signs for the monastery, just follow the signs for the Archeological site of Antient Mantineia. It's right opposite. The architecture is very interesting and worth a stop on you way to or from Kapsia caves or the Menalo ski resort. Kapsia village...More
