- Surprise brewery in the jungle!Ten of us hired a private driver to give us a tour of Roatan. One of the places he suggested we stop at was the Roatan Brewery. What a surprise! Turning onto a dirt road (not too far down) we pulled up to this fabulous brewery! The beers were really good, and in talking with the staff, we soon realized that they were very knowledgeable about the different types of beer and the brewing of them. A "Must" stop when visiting Roatan.Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 1, 2024
- Must do. Highlight of the vacation :)Ilias and Cass have created such a beautiful spot. Beers are great, environment is amazing. We got a flight of eight beers then played some corn hole on the lawn. Staff is so kind and attentive. You have to visit when you come to RoatanVisited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 27, 2024
- Becky.imoSaint Louis, MissouriCool Stop for Food and DrinksWe stopped for lunch at Roatan Island Brewing Company and it did not disappoint! The grounds are stunning. Large palm trees, hammocks, plenty of shade and space. We had a large group and they were able to accommodate us easily. The food and beer was fantastic. I loved their seltzer! The service was some of the best we received on the island. What’s great is the adults can hang out and there are plenty of activities for kids to keep them entertained. Bags, foosball, games, etc. We will definitely return.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 17, 2024

- Rachelle CTamuning, Mariana IslandsWe didn't try the beer, but the burgers were solid. We spent 10 days on Roatan and came here late one afternoon. Our VRBO was nearby. It is a fun place - games to play and good food. It closes quite early - 5:00 - I don't know if that is because it seems like a lot of their customers come from cruise ships and need to leave early, I don't know. We didn't try the beer, but the burgers were solid. Free, easy parking.Visited August 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 18, 2024
- AnneAccrington, United KingdomAn interesting and enjoyable experienceI visited today as part of an organised tour, the staff were helpful and welcoming. The talk about the brewing process was very informative and interesting. The beers were all very tasty, it's impossible to pick my favourite. I would definitely recommend this location for a visit if you are in Roatan.Visited December 2024Traveled soloWritten December 19, 2024
- A must stop for beer fansTook a tasting tour while cruising with Princess and had an amazing time! Great beer and cider, cool information about brewing and learning how this business invests in the community. This is a worthwhile stop for sure!Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten January 26, 2025
- Davis McGregorSpruce Grove, CanadaA ‘Must’ Visit on a Trip to RoatanStopped by the Roatan Brewery for some draft beer and a late lunch. You can order sampler flights, either 4 or 8, so you can try a bunch of their beers, ciders and seltzers. Food was awesome, couldn’t get enough of the Birria Eggrolls which are comprised of slow stewed beef, shredded and mixed with white cheese, rolled in a eggroll wrapper and fried until crispy (soooo tasty). Our table of 5 ordered one for a shared appy, then ordered a second one, then even I ordered one more for my lunch. The brewery is set in the jungle, so a cool location, about a 30 minute drive from the West End.Visited January 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten January 27, 2025
- Jesse BSeymour, TennesseeSo You Think You Know Island Beer Making? What a great experience to learn and taste local beer and food. Located o. The North side of the Island, the bus ride was eye opening as to who blessed we are in America. Anyway, ordered a 4 beer sampler with some appetizers. The beer was amazing and the platter very tasty. When we got done we were given a detailed history and description of how they make their beer. Tour lasted well over an hour and came away with the challenge they face everyday from obtaining great water, yeast, hops and electricity. Unbelievable. So glad we went and was worth every minute. Theirs beers are outstanding but they make seltzer drinks as well. I had a Mango pork grilled Burrito to help with the buzz I was getting from the beer. All items were locally grown and 5 star. I highly recommend this facility and will go back on my next visitVisited February 2025Traveled as a coupleWritten February 6, 2025

Went on Roatan Island Brewery tour,.5 STAR ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ . The owner took us on the vip tour text explaining everything and is showing us how they make their beer it was an exceptional tour and I would highly recommend it. the price point is just about right not counting the fact that you can have a beer sampling of either four or eight along with some sausage and pretzel bites it’s a good one guys . They really have a visionary view and love what they do.

Delicious beer, outstanding service, and very cool souvenir apparel (t-shirts and hats). We chose the Princess Cruise Shore Excursion as we had 4 adults and 4 teenagers and were looking for a laid back experience on the Island. This was the perfect match as the adults enjoyed some great beers including ales, IPA, port, and a great hefeweizen. The teens were served refreshing non-alcoholic soda and drinks that were all accompanied by tasty food. Mark Flanagan, the owner, and his team made the experience with a great tour of the brewery and conversation about life on Roatan. The experience was so great that we are planning a return visit to the island in the future for a longer stay. I highly recommend this tour for all beer lovers and families looking for a laid back island tour.

I loved this place so much! Went as part of a cruise excursion and wasn’t sure about drinking beer at 10 am, but was such a pleasant surprise. I loved the venue, the people, the food, and of course the beer. We spent almost 3 hours at Roatan Brewery- met the owner and had a very interesting tour of the facility. About noon the residents started joining, bringing their pups and playing cornhole. This place. Is about making an experience more than making a dollar, was such a refreshing take. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to go back!

Roatan Island Brewery is a fun, chill place in a jungle atmosphere. I always have to check out the local breweries where I go and this one did not disappoint. My girlfriend and I were just going to stop for a couple of beers while riding our atv and it turned into a private tour with the co-owner Alias. After working at a brewery for a while and home brewing a lot, a brewing refresher was exactly what I needed and my girlfriend learned a lot on the way. We ended up closing the place down with the servers and they enjoyed our company along with giving us more restaurant recommendations and sent us on our way. A must see while on vacation in Roatan!

Went up for our big meal of the day. Not open on Monday or Tuesday and only until 5 pm, it was a late lunch. The special was a fish burger, snapper. Food was plentiful and delicious. Especially liked the side slaw, had just a bit to it. Fun to try the different beers, non beers, in a flight. The place was busy. Food service delayed because it was busy, but well worth the wait. Staff very nice. Just wish they had bottles of seltzer or beer available to purchase.

Great excursion from cruise ship. Short bus ride there with some basic information about the island. Owner, Brewer meet us there and explained each of the 12 beers/ciders/beverages they had on tap that day. You could choose a tasting of 4 or 8 of your choice. ALL that we chose were exceptional. They also had a seltzer that was wonderful, kombucha, and a non alcoholic seltzer. We were offer a plate of three sausages and a few pretzel bites. After ample time to enjoy the beer and food, we were given a tour of the brewery with the owner. It was one of the best brewery tours we have been on and we have been on many in several countries. They are very conscience of the environment and have built a wonderful facility retaining the jungle around them. Staff was exceptional. Would definitely return

Spent a week on the island and got a chance to visit Roatan Island Brewery one Saturday afternoon - it is not to be missed if you are a craft beer drinker. It is located in Palmetto Bay, has 9 beers on tap and has a great vibe w/cool music playing and a young staff eager to deliver great service. You can get a flight of 6 or 9 beers and the day I was there they had a taco de birria lunch special that I supplemented with an order of yucca garlic fries – the tacos and fries were the bomb! I never had taco de birria before and must say I’ve been missing out. This was a great find and for sure not to be missed if on the island.

I have been to several breweries and this is by far the most unique experience. First of all the beer that I sampled was top notch. So if you like beer you will not be disappointed. I believe there were more than 20 different varieties on tap, so there is lots to choose from.
We went on a Monday when the brewery was closed during our private island tour with West Bay Tours...see my review of that too. One of the owners, Marco from Indiana, was there and clearly recovering after hosting a huge event the day before. He was kind enough to pour us a few pints and another couple wondered in as well. He spoke about the quality of his products, steps they are taking to ensure the purity of the water, and plans to expand.
The brewery itself is breathtakingly beautiful. The brewery is nestled next to a stream in a tropical valley. The outdoors comes into the structure through wide open walls. The materials, layout and placement of the building on the property were incredibly well thought out. The landscaping was unbelievable as well. Lots of outdoor fun is available, and I recommend to the owners that they put in some horseshoes to add to their games. It is a very special place.

The bus ride to/from our cruise port was pretty short. However, the brewery tour was excellent and probably the best I’ve seen. We had a variety of 4 beers to try, we got to pick our own from a list of about 12 that were currently available.
My favorite was the Hibiscus Rwd Pale Ale, but all 4 of the ones I chose were excellent. You can also upgrade to an eight beer sample for a little bit more.

Love this little retreat and my only regret was to not have found this gem earlier. I would not recommend it if you only have 7 days in Roatan but for sure if you have more time.
The service was great and very willing to make you taste fee beers before you make your selection. My daughter says this was the very best Kumbucha she ever had. The nachos were awesome. All prices were quite reasonable for a craft beer. Even the bathroom days Brewery all over. Beautiful grounds and you can play lawn games.
Only issue was a clerical error on our bill where i got charged everything on my bill while my friend got also double charged for his portion. Quickly fixed and apologized for the error.
A must stop on our next visit to Roatan

Does anyone have info/advice about getting a taxi to the brewery from the cruise port?
Rates?
Do they take US dollars?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey superpinky, taxis from the cruise ports are supposed to have published rates near taxi pickup areas. I expect $10-15 per person depending on which port you are coming from. And yes the brewery accepts US dollars, and credit cards.
