I found Ongeri through a YouTube video and have had the most pleasant and wonderful time interacting with them. From getting a quote to having an amazing trip in Kenya, they have been very helpful. I was dealing specifically with Cazeah from the organization. She was responsive and made suggestions that suited our liking. This was a special honeymoon trip and Ongeri helped us enjoy it by making sure all the logistics were taken care of.
The driver we spent most of our time with and was our Safari guide was Patrick. He was on time everyday, dedicated and very knowledgeable. We felt very safe with Patrick, he was good natured, and very dependable.
We are very pleased with our experience and highly suggest others book their safaris with Ongeri.

Great company to use to arrange your luxury or standard safari in Kenya, we booked through them at first we was a bit reluctant but June our agent was amazing. I can’t find words to thank her enough for all she done for us and for always being very genuine, happy and responsive. The service was great, the information communication was very good and during our stay she was very responsive and guided us with anything we needed so much so we booked a holiday when in Kenya with them to Swahili beach and arranged all flights and made the whole experience seemless.
If you’re reading this, stop reading and book with them that’s all I can say. Enjoy your safari it’s an amazing experience

From the day I contacted Ongeri Expeditions until the day we left Kenya, our experience with this tour operator was exceptional! Abner is a lovely person and a joy to work with. We were in constant communication and he never failed to answer my many questions. He organized our trip to Uganda to go Gorilla Trekking and then on to Kenya for safari in three different and distinct areas. Everything was taken care of. We didn’t have to think about anything but having a fabulous time. Being from Canada it was difficult to find a tour operator and we are so grateful to have been recommended to Ongeri Expeditions. Can’t wait to book with them again.

We enjoyed the trip to Kenya as the nature is beautiful and people are friendly. However our experience with the company has been frustration throughout. Have been reading the good reviews on this company (and that’s why we chose Ongeri, and also because it’s local); but not sure why it’s the total opposite for us.
1) Incompetency: We confirmed our itinerary with Ongeri Expeditions nearly a year in advance (September 2023), but didn’t receive confirmation of the hotel bookings until 2 weeks before our departure (July 2024) despite of our constant chasing. We then spotted a gap - no rooms were booked for 31st July. As a result, we had no choice but downgrade to the rooms with unacceptable conditions.
2) Unprofessional: Regarding to the booking mistake they made (mentioned above), they advised us the room price difference is $648, but they refuse to refund us the amount. They push us to use the fund to purchase activities which we are not interested in. Later on they said they made another mistake and the amount should be $348 instead of $648. After several chaser and complain they eventually agree to refund the $348 but told us they are only doing this because they admit it’s a mistake from their side and they don’t have to do this based on the T&Cs (which is completely nonsense). In addition, they also changed our driver just one day before our departure, someone who is not booked even during the busiest season.
3) Poor communication: Throughout the conversations with Ongeri, it seems that things are copied from templates. Replies are incomplete and sometimes has more than couple of days’ delay. Regarding to the refund, Mr Ongeri’s attitude is not acceptable. Although they apologise via emails, they show no sincerity and willingness to make up (their mistakes) for us. Instead, they try to divert the conversation and keep trying kicking the ball back to us quoting T&Cs which is not even relative to our situation.
My experience with Ongeri is that if you have other choices then please use an alternative agent if possible. When things go well (maybe by luck) then everything is ok; but when things don’t go well (especially Ongeri and its employee do make serious mistakes - we could have nowhere to stay in the middle of the national park), then Ongeri would just add frustration to your trip.
We have made formal complaint to KATO, with all evidence attached supporting my comments above. I hope this is helpful for people reading this.

We booked Ongeri Expeditions to try and catch the wildbeast migration to Maasai Mara, but many animals did not migrate this year from Tanzania.
We also wanted to see as much of the other wildlife (elephants, big cats, hyenas, etc…) we could during the game drives.
Ongeri Expeditions was good at communicating the trip details and plan. Accommodations at Osero Camp were excellent. All the people booked to support our safari were very friendly and attentive.
Ongeri Expeditions booked the entire safari, including: transport to and from Nairobi to visit Maasai Mara, the stay at Osero Camp, and game drives.
The price for a three day package was very reasonable and good value for the price paid!
We didn’t have any opportunity to see the wildbeast crossing, but Ongeri Expeditions’ guide spotted many elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopard, hyenas, ostriches, many varieties of antelope, hippos, and crocodiles!

I had a booking for a week in the Maasai Mara and this was actually a referral from a friend in Kenya. Ongeri Expeditions is a local Kenyan tour company which is loved by the Kenyan people. The communication before and during the Safari trip was very timely and professional. The itinerary was discussed and tailored to our needs which is what every traveler loves. The trip was worth every coin and although I didn't get to see the Wilderbeest do an actual river crossing I was able to see so many lions, Elephants, cheetahs in the wild. It was an amazing experience definitely ticked Maasai Mara off my bucketlist. The staff at the Camp we stayed in were amazing

Thank you Abner for planning a life-changing safari vacation! I highly recommend Ongeri Expeditions to anyone looking to book a safari or vacation in Kenya. Abner was there for me right from the start all the way until we got back home. Some of the flights I had booked myself did not go smoothly, but Abner took care of booking road transfers to get us to our first camp near Amboseli without delay. We packed a lot into 7 days, Amboseli, Masai Mara and Diani beach. We just loved every minute of it!

It was my first time to book with Ongeri expeditions and i received a beautiful service from Abner since day One we planned for this trip to Amboseli National park . I got a chance to Learn and see different types of giraffes and birds cause i only knew limited types.
I had an amazing trip, not forgetting the friendship bonds , an excellent driver who acted as our tour guide and also my splendid view was of a memory of elephants together with a baby elephant feeding with her mother. I was so shocked to see a hippopotamus playing in the mud because it did not cross my mind that hippopotamus are found in Amboseli.

I will be very precise
The whole tour was excellent
From pick up to us being shown around the pack and dropping Us back.
We were so humbled when our tour guide Sammy made sure we see the Rhino at the Nairobi National park.And finally we saw it plus the other big five like the Lion ,Buffalo and of course not forgetting other wild animals.I will gladly recommend you to all.❤️❤️❤️❤️

I've done a very well organized day trip around Nairobi with Ongeri Expeditions as my time was limited this time. I've seen some of the highlights like the Nairobi National Park, Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Center. Ongeri Expeditions is a reliable company with nice staff, good drivers and cars. Will definitely recommend Ongeri Expeditions for day trips but I look forward to do longer trips, as safari's, on my next visits with them as well. Nice staff with eye for detail. Abner is a lovely guide who gave me a lot info about the animals as the birds which we saw and enjoyed his enthusiasm for nature.
