I went with my wife and teen daughter and we had a great time. Good food, amazing show and really good service in general. We really enjoyed the evening. Having unlimited good tasting wine was really great

This trip is great ,especially for a family with kids in tow, as there is plenty to admire of the Bulgarian traditional nationals, including a small zoo and lots of old craft hardware to admire, You are eventually seated in a large hall that resembles a barn, and are treated to a great set of traditional dancers accompanied by native musicians.
Later outside you can watch a fire dance ceremony, but for my money this dragged on too long in preparation, so my interest began to drain as it took so long to spread the embers out, along with the cod praying for strength / ability to endure the ritual by the shamen.
In between the dancing and fire walking, you are served with a four course meal accompanied by as much wine you can drink. The wine (red or white) is quite acceptable, but other types of drinks (beer / coke etc) you have to pay for, but water is on the table. You also get a shot of their strong Rakia.
Now the bad part......the food, you start with a shopska salad which is quite nice, but there's only so much cucumber you can stomach, the tomatoes are quite nice though, and the white cheese is a bit stingy!
Next course is a bean based soup that was bland and tasteless, then a main course of chicken and potatoes that was OK (just), and watermelon to finish with (yes, just a slice by itself, not very inspiring!
So all in all a decent nights entertainment, marred by a poor meal!

A short bus trip (approx 30 mins) took us to Gerana village. We were given bread and spices upon arrival which is tradition in the area we were told. The four courses were of poor quality, tasteless and far from traditional, which was very disappointing. The wine was well watered down too. The first part of the entertainment was painful to sit through and the second part was a lot of banging on drums. The dancers were quite good though but it just went on a bit too long. The entertainment finished with a man raking a fire whilst roaring in some language and then walking over it- fair duce to him though. Overall, the staff were nice and the dancers put on a good show. Speaking Russian is definately an advantage for going here!

We had a great night at the traditional Bulgarian village. The wine was nice, the food was excellent and the entertainment was fantastic. We were seated at a table of 10 but all English speakers like us. There was entertainment for all.

We loved the area! We loved the excellent show. Special thanks for drummer and for fire dance Master!
White wine was so good, but the juice of grapes would have been even better! Specially, kids would like it..
We deffinitely liked our Bulgarian evening! Greetings from Estonia!

Went with a group of 12 and were seated on benches around a table. First a shot of the local Rakia, then salad, bean soup, burger, chicken, potatoes and slaw followed by melon. All, although basic traditional food, it was delicious and very filling. We were supplied with two pottery jugs in our table which we filled from a red, and white wine barrels, also bottles of water were supplied on the table. The dancing, which was traditional for the area was very entertaining, as was the complete show. The fire walking for me a bit of an anti climax. The toilets were very clean and all the ‘staff’ were friendly and courteous. A good night had by all and for only 40 lev.
