We had booked a trip but on our arrival we were upset to find the train was closed for safety reasons. The weather was appalling and the people running the train were right to make the decision. So we had to drive off? No we were made very welcome. The staff took photographs of us and brought one of the carriages to allow us to pedal a few metres and get the feel of it. I know we will have to return one day to do this fantastic journey. Our friends were not on the secret and were blown away just by the thought of it. Thank you all for making 3 birts and one aussie have a great time without going on the ride!!

Glad we had enough able bodies to ride the railbikes. It was a fun couple of hours to spend in a day. My friends packed a lovely lunch and we had such fun enjoying the fresh air and delicious food followed with a fun round of railbikes. Some of us are not-so-fit and some even with injuries, but we were glad that we had enough able-bodies to ride the bikes on the rail. Beautiful scenic route and lots of fun. What a relaxing afternoon for everyone from age 15 to 72!!

We visited here after seeing a link on the campsite website. Approx €15 for a couple hours of fun! We took the easy route “orchids” 8 km pretty much down hill to a station where there was entertainment (very good) and a train took you back. Funny guy getting you into cycles and accompanying you in the train back! They have worked hard to make this a real fun experience for all. Lovely time in nature enjoying the outdoors with some great views! Fantastic attraction and well worth the visit! Parking at station (free) although it was tricky to find from postcode address ( keep on driving into town then signs appear....keep on that road until you almost think you’ve missed it and you’ll see a huge Velorail sign. Great fun highly recommend

Found this excursion during a short Air BnB weekend in Millau to visit the famous and impressive viaduct. Visited the railway on a windy cold day in May and pretty much had the place to ourselves, but the staff were still there, helpful and friendly to the mad Brits visiting out of season. Tried the Les Papillons and enjoyed the 4km gentle climb, pedalling through tunnels and across a viaduct to the turnaround place at the top, and then....the freewheel back down, gaining speed on every straight and hanging on round every corner - really great way to spend a hour and get the wind in your hair. We also then went down the hill on the electric train to collect a few other brave tourists who had done just the descent (Les Orchidees) from the starting station - a little less strenuous but not nearly as fun! Strongly recommended with somthing for all ages even if you don't feel tough enough for the (gentle) uphill!

This is a very different thing to do. "Rail bikes" over an abandoned rail line. The longer route is very easy as you go down hill most of the time. The shorter route is uphill. It was very cold the day we were there, so not much fun as we tried to stay bundled while looking at the views from high. Great activity for families and there is a bench behind the bikes if you don't want to peddle.
