The view of the ocean and Río de la Plata is great. Besides the mirador, there are places nearby where you can reach the rocks and go snorkeling in the summer and spend a spectacular afternoon. Also you could visit Casa Pueblo or go to Arboretum Lusich.

A 15-minute drive from Punta del Este, Mirador Punta Ballena offers good views of Playa Cantamar, Isla Gorriti and the Punta del Este skyline. It's also a great spot to watch sunsets. Just up the hill is the fascinating Club Hotel Casapueblo / Museo-Taller Casapueblo (see my review, "Mykonos in Uruguay").

I have been going to Punta del Este since I was a little child and this place NEVER gets old. Although sometimes it gets too crowded for my taste, the view it beautiful, specially when the sun is setting or when the sun is rising. It is a place everyone should go when staying in Punta Del Este!

Stop here to admire the ocean, the cliffs, south punta del este with its long beaches and high-rise buildings, and north LaBarra up to Jose Ignacio. Take a drink and toast the sunset. Very romantic. Windy.

Wow, from this place you can make perfect pictures, you can even see Punta del Este, we just went by and spend some minutes there but I think it will be a dream to watch the sun set from this place.

This is a must stop off point for the scenery and fantastic sunsets. Would recommend taking chairs, sitting back and enjoying the view.
