We were staying at the bottom of the hill and I am so pleased we booked tickets to watch this amazing concert.

The concert was for an hour and a half and we heard masterful performances of:
W. A. Mozart, Quintetto per archi No.3, KV 516
R. Schumann, Quintetto per pianoforte, op.47

I understand that the musicians meet with the crowd afterwards with a glass of new prosecco but our two kids were tired. The standard of music in the little hilltop village with some 100 people was immense.

Typical Tuscany - something very special just under our noses. I would go again!

We spend several months each year in the area which includes Casole D'Elsa, Monteguidi. Montecastelli is only 15 minutes away.
The standard of the classical music presented in the very charming small auditorium is extremely high. It can hold circa 100 people.
It is only due to the connections of Philipp Bonhoeffer that we are lucky to be able to hear first class musicians playing a large variety of classical music.
After the concert which costs a ridiculous 15 Euro , every guest is offered a glass of prosecco and can talk to the musicians let alone share the experience with other guests.
Look up Montecastelli Pisani on google. It is a lovely hill top medieval village. If you are within 1 hour from there don't miss the experience.
