Great campground and near to all Karijini has to offer!
May 2021 • Family
We stayed at Dales Campground as a base to explore Karijini NP. Unfortunately due to rainfall the day before we arrived, all of the gorges but Dales were closed so we only ended up staying for 1 night instead of 3/4. We stayed in the Euro Loop. There are 5-6 loops all similar in terms of layout but from what we noticed, the ones closer to the entrance have better toilets (they all had bush loos but the ones further out were single sheds that looked pretty old, whereas the closer ones had more loos and the buildings were newer). The on-site camp hosts were super kind and friendly and gave daily updates regarding the weather conditions of the gorges. The visitor centre was great for a shower if you need it. Dales Gorge was beautiful and easy to explore with our 7mth old. Would definitely recommend staying here, just check the weather and road and gorge conditions before you go!

Top spot 👍🏼
Aug 2020 • Solo
This is the second time I have stayed here but managed a better look around this time.
Great location to get a look at Dales Gorge and I highly recommend doing the walk through from Fern pool to Circular Pool (currently closed due to a rock fall).
While the camp ground is fairly basic with drop dunnies and not much else there is fresh water available from the tank at the overflow camp ground as well as a rubbish drop off point and ice and shower facilities at the Karajini Visitor Centre if you really need it. I just took a dip in Fern Pool instead, very refreshing.
Make sure to book a campsite online before arrival to make your life easier and I recommend the Euro loop for the quietest spot, I was in Dingo loop and it’s a bit noisy with traffic etc.

Great Setup ...but very poor ground for tent pegs
Jul 2020
Used this campground as our base for 4 days to visit gorges and climb Mt Bruce. It’s a good setup with ample space between each allocated spot, however the ground is horrendous for tent pegs. We had solid rock an inch down for all 3 tents so had to used small rocks to secure the tents but wasn’t ideal, especially as it rained one day. The location is very great for simply walking to Dales Gorge, price very reasonable and toilet facilities clean and functioning.

Good location for the East of the NP
Jul 2020 • Couples
Blooooody cold nights!! You'll need to layer up at night time if you're in a tent. The campground is a good location to base from to explore the East side of the national park and Mount Bruce.

Best camping spot in the area
Oct 2019
A good campground that is located close to Dales Gorge.
However the ground is incredibly hard so using pegs can be impossible. I recommend putting heavy items in the corners of your tent or pouring water onto the ground. Doing so might allow you to use pegs.

The groundkeeper was incredibly friendly.

Very hot with no shade
Oct 2019 • Family
It was very hot when we were camping in a tent and very little shade available. We soon realised that you need to stay down in the gorges as long as you can to keep cool as there was no relief from the heat at the campsite until the sun went down. On a positive note the campsite was huge and the toilets were very clean.

Mediocre campground next to a magnificent gorge
Sep 2019 • Solo
It’s my second time camping at Dales Campground and again I’m not very impressed. There are very few trees and campsites are exposed to the elements. No campfires are allowed which is a big spoiler for outdoor camping!

However, the campground is situated next to the magnificent Dales Gorge and Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and Circular Pool are all within walking distance.

Great campground!
Aug 2019 • Couples
Stayed here for two nights and was pleasantly surprised with the layout and space we were provided.
The people at reception were very helpful with showing us where everything was and places close by to swim.
The campsite was very well labelled - we stayed in the dingo loop (ute with awning and swag). The camp sites themselves were very spacious and you had a fair distance from other campsites around you. The drop toilets were close by but make sure you bring torches / light source because not lit at night.
The campsite is roughly a 10minute walk to Fortescue Falls which was beautiful and if you follow the path for another 5/10 minutes Ferns Pool is a beautiful site and swim spot.
