Karijini Visitor Centre - a must do
May 2021 • Friends
The staff were fantastic - very friendly & helpful & extremely knowledgeable.
The information in the centre was fascinating & although with time constraints we could only stay an hour, I could have easily stayed far longer reading all the information that was provided 🙏

A very interesting and well laid out centre with informative interpretive displays. The staff were helpful and a nice shop for guides and souvenirs.

Great help

Friendly staff in a beautiful building . Worth just to visit before you travel into the gorges. Can’t say the information we received was accurate re the state of the unsealed roads and how anything but a 4 x 4 would go on them .

If you’ve never been to Karijini, make this your first stop

Staff there are very helpful and warm. Lots of information given and it’s a good place to start especially if you have problems with trekking as there’re able to give advise on which routes to take.

Poor service and services
Nov 2019
Visitor Centre is flash and well presented but for some reason located kms away from camping areas. Shame that the same attention has not been given to facilities in the park. It is not a place to visit outside the months of May to August. Too hot, too many flies, no water or power and no shady trees. Tourists should be warned against pitching a tent on the ground due to threat of snakes and dingos. We had a parks permit so were unhappy to pay for camping that offered no facilities. Some tourists stayed at Tom Price, an hours drive away, and visitied the gorges over a couple of days. I recommend this as a better alternative to staying at the park.

Highly recommended as a drop in place before heading out anywhere. The staff know the park inside out and provide helpful and useful advice.

The Karijini visitor centre was a sight to see in itself. It’s beautiful designed and the displays were informative about the area and the history. The staff were friendly and eager to help. We did the short loop out back of the visitor center and saw some rock wallabies which was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend stopping in, even if just for a quick ice cream and WiFi.

An essential start point in any visit to the Park
Sep 2019 • Friends
It's unique design and structure is striking, whilst the content and layout offers visitors a well balanced and broad overview of the makeup of the Park, it's history, it's peoples and it's splendour. The staff were exceptionally professional: very well done. Allow at least one hour to appreciate the presentation within the Center.

I was here on a bus tour when we visited the Visitor Centre. It is a most unusual-looking building & fits in well into the landscape. The displays are most interesting & the place is well worth a visit.
