One of the natural attractions that lasted up to 4 decades. Ticket prices are cheap, with a large parking area. Here we can trek to the waterfall which is not more than 1 kilometer, passing through pine forests that are still beautiful.
In addition to waterfalls, in the Coban Talun tourist area there are also several tourist businesses that offer a variety of photo spots, with affordable ticket prices. Some of them are:
- Pagupon Camp
- Apache Camp
- Alas Pinus Coban Talun
- Hortensia Park
- OYOT (Coban Talun Tourism Object)
Recommended for nature trips at affordable prices.

Leaving Malang to go to the mountains was a lovely drive. The lush green forests with flowering trees and massive bamboo trees and looking down into the valleys was awesome. BUT then we went to this waterfall. It was truly amazing with the water cascading down from the cliff tops. The whole scenery around was just a sight to behold. Worth every minute of the drive there and more

I went there with my sister and my cousin. We decided to try this waterfall because we won't try mainstream waterfall in Malang like Rondong and Pelangi. We went there using motorcycle from our hotel. We spent about one hour to drive there from Brawijaya University.
After we arrived we feel so cold, Batu is really cold.furthermore when we interact with the water. Actually, that place offers some another attraction and some good spot for taking pictures. However, I have not the time to try attraction. So we try only the waterfall.
To reach the waterfall, we need to walk about 15 minutes to down some valleys, I can't imagine when we come back from waterfall we use to climb that valley.
After we reached the waterfall we feel fresh sensation and it's really cold. After we took some pictures we come back to the parking area. Imagine the struggle back to the parking area, So Tired!!

Went on a short trek to reach this waterfall. You will cross a beautiful view of the mountains and a active volcano. The waterfall is naturally beautiful and clean with one huge waterfall and has lots of rocks formations below that create another small waterfall. It is okay for Swimming but just be careful.

The waterfall located among pine forest. It’s worth to visit if you coming to Batu. Only takes 15 minutes walking from parking area.
Watch your walk when the rain season is coming, because the land quiet slippery.
Prepare a comfort clothes and proper shoes, and enjoy the beauty of Coban Talun.

If you do think easy to reach the waterfall spot then you wrong, it has a quite long way to be on the waterfall spot as I guess it will be around 1 KM far with hard hills typical track. I suggest wearing climbing or mountain tracking shoes or sandal's because of the track is still raw and virgin and of course it very slippery, so you must be careful and strong enough to walk among this type of track. But, the hard and tiring way was get payed when you reach the waterfall spot. You will find a very beautiful and natural waterfall with a clean and fresh water on it, you may play in the water or do some light swim around the waterfall because there are some spots below the waterfall that you can do it all. Don't forget to bring your own snack because there are not many places selling some food and snacks around the waterfall spot (as I see there is only 2 or 3 "warung"). A toilet is available to changing or do some "pee". Ticket price to enter the area is cheap as IDR 10,000 per adult person (kids not counting, but there is no clear rule for what age limit to define kids category, it depends on the officer)

Came to this place with my parents and sister. Trek to this waterfall is far enough (more than 1 km) and slippery. Entrance fee isn't expensive. You can enjoy hot tea/coffee near the waterfall (yes, there are selling food and drinks near the waterfall, BUT PLEASE don't litter).

I didn't reach the waterfall actually, just half of the journey. But the track is quite easy, I just didn't have enough time to go there because I've spent much time in the flowers garden. There are hortensia and another flowers that fascinating!
I felt like I can spend a whole days there, bcoz they provide benches and hammocks. Coffee shop are available in the area as well. Some couples did their pre-wedding shot here.
Only 10K for entry and 5K additional fee for certain area such as flower garden or Indian-like area.
This place is reachable by car or motorbike, but no public transport available.

Coban talun is one of the famous public place for enjoying your holiday in Batu. It's a little bit far from Malang, take approximately 22 kilometers. In Coban talun not only just waterfall that you can see but also some areas with beautiful sceneries for your background to take some photos. The name of the areas are Pagupon, Kampung Indian, Taman Bunga and so on. Each area need entry ticket which cost around 5000-25000 rupiah. I don't entry Pagupon just only Kampung Indian and Taman Bunga (but there is enough for me hehehe). In Kampung Indian you can see many indians tent that build and can be rented for visitors. You can take photos with background and indians accecories on your head. Next spot i visit Taman Bunga, in this place you can see a lot of flowers (i forgot about the name). You can also take photos with flowers background.
